Please be advised that YCR is still currently operating using COVID procedures, This means that the centre is not currently open to the public, and all our adoptions are being done remotely. All our cats are being cared for either in foster homes or at the centre by staff/volunteers. If you are successful in reserving a cat, one of the Cat Care Team will speak to you about the cat within two weeks of your reservation and undertake a remote adoption as soon as possible. PLEASE NOTE - you must be ready to adopt a cat immediately when applying for a cat. Erm hi there... we're Zoe and Zara! Here's a little bit about us both; Zoe (black and white): I'm here at YCR with my best friend Zara. We came to YCR via another organisation as our owner sadly passed away. Zara and I would very much need a home together as I'm very fearful of new situations and Zara comforts me as she's the confident one. We've been in foster for a little while and I'm slowly gaining confidence but it's taking a while. I will now happily sit in the room whilst your present and have been happily taking dreamies off my fosterer. I do get easily spooked though and will give a hiss and hide away if I'm unsure of things. For this reason I need a quiet home with a person experienced with shy cats, I wouldn't like to live with young children or any other pets apart from Zara. I need time, patience and understanding, and I like my own space away from humans sometimes too. Me and Zara happily play with together once I'm settled and genuinely enjoy each others company as we sleep together all the time! My fosterer has said I use the tray and scratching post really well, too. Can you give me the time I need to really settle in my new furever home I promise it'll be worth it! Zara (black): Hello! It's me the gorgeous girl Zara and I'm here with my sister Zoe! I am getting on really well in my foster home and although I'm still a little shy I'm a lot more confident than my friend Zoe (although she's still the boss). I have a natural curiosity and once I'm settled I do tend to come out and explore. I have been caught sitting on the windowsill watching the outside world quite often. I will purr as soon as food or treats are offered to me and I'm quite greedy haha! I'm a sweet natured girl and do like a fuss once I've settled in with you and learnt that I can trust you! I would love a quiet home where me and my friend are given the time we need to come out of our shells. Could my new forever home be with you? To adopt us please press on the blue 'adopt a cat' button on our website to fill in an application form, you'll need our names and reference numbers which are Zoe: 342/21 and Zara 341/21.
