Please be advised that YCR is still currently operating using COVID procedures, This means that the centre is not currently open to the public, and all our adoptions are being done remotely. All our cats are being cared for either in foster homes or at the centre by staff/volunteers. If you are successful in reserving a cat, one of the Cat Care Team will speak to you about the cat within two weeks of your reservation and undertake a remote adoption as soon as possible. PLEASE NOTE - you must be ready to adopt a cat immediately when applying for a cat. Hi there hoomans, it's me Gracie. I have found myself here at YCR after I was sadly left behind by my previous owners and ended up living on the streets... that's no place for a girl like me! I came in with a belly full of babies so I went to a lovely foster home where I could look after my kittens somewhere safe and warm. Sadly not all of my babies made it which made me very sad :( Two of my babies did though and they are now big and strong and ready to find loving new homes! But a little about me... I can be a quite shy when I first meet you and quick movements and loud noises make me jump quite a lot too. I can be a little flinchy when you stroke me but I promise I do love head bumps and tickles once I know you. When I get spooked I will run and hide so will likely take time to settle in a new home so please do give me chance and plenty of hidey holes to go in. The hoomans here say sometimes I'm a little too worried to eat too but once they sit with me and reassure me then I loveee dreamies and my biscuits! I can be rather picky with my wet food but the hoomans said they will let you know what I like! I became really good friends with the doggo in my foster home so should be fine to live with one in my new home, I wasn't keen on the other kitties though so none of those please! Because of my shy nature I will probably be best not living with any small people too and I will need someone who has had kitties before please. I also just need to let you know that I have some sneezes in the past but it doesn't cause me any issues now! Do you think we could be friends?
