Oh hi there hoomans, it's me Pepper! Here I am back at YCR after sadly my previous hooman was unable to keep me due to my ongoing health issues. You see, I have rather silly skin which causes me to itch, itch and itch some more and I make myself rather sore. The vets and the hoomans here have tried many different things, food, medicine, I have had tests and trialled lots of things but they don't really know the reason for my silly skin! The hoomans therefore think it is something called idiopathic ulcerative dermatitis which basically means there is no known cause of it as of yet. You will see in my picture that I have a funny donut collar on, don't worry it doesn't bother me too much and the hoomans say it has helped a lot with stopping me from hurting myself more. I sometimes have to wear a special t-shirt too which I don't mind so much either. Although I do still have to wear my collar and suit and I do have on going issues with my skin, the hoomans say I am more than ready to move to a new home and that they will support and advise my new family on the rest of my journey with my skin issues. Now, all about me! When I first came back here I was a shy girl. I really wasn't sure what was happening and I was really sad at the centre so I moved into a lovely foster home. I have settled really well here and my favourite thing is to sit on the windowsills and watch the birds flying around outside. Occasionally I will play with my toys but to be honest, I much prefer to have fast zoomies around the house for a few minutes, my foster family say it is very fun to watch! Once I have finished my zoomies I will either settle on someone's knee (I will chose as and when I want to do this though as I really don't like being picked up!), or I love to lay on the settee with my little feets down the gap between the cushions. I can be a little picky with my food but the hoomans have worked out a few that I like so they will make sure to let you know my preferences! Well, I think that's all you need to know about me, I know it sounds like you may be taking on a lot with me but I promise I am worth it and I will be the best companion in return. You don't need to worry about the medical costs relating to me skin either as YCR say they will cover these for my life. I am looking for a very quiet home with no other furries or little people please and eventually I would love some outdoor space, although it will be a while before I am allowed out due to me wearing my funny collar. So, do you think we could be friends? x x If you think you are the hooman for me, please look for the blue "reserve a cat" button and fill in my name and reference number 354/19.
