FABULOUS NEWS: A strange thing happened.  After several months of silence we received FIVE enquiries in 5 days.  All good homes.  The first couple to contact us had the first appointment to meet him.  They fell in love, Maxwell was happy, his foster mum and dad were happy.  Great celebrations when the home check passed with flying colours.  He is due to go to his forever home tomorrow (friday) afternoon.  We are sorry that there are some dissapointed cat lovers who would have been ideal for him.  We hope that we will have another kitty who could be the right match.  thank you for spreading the word.



Hi my name is Maxwell. I am a young fella, I can't remember my birthday but I am about 2-3 years old. You have seen me before that’s because I have been with my foster parents for a long time! They were waiting for the thumbs up from my friendly vet. I've had that now so I need your help to find me the purrrfect forever home.
 
My best bits:
-Adorable chubby cheeks
-Loves company
-Has crazy kitten bursts of energy once in a while.
-Loves sleeping on the bed to protect you of course
-Loves cooked chicken
-Purrs at a drop of a hat (even with our vet!)
-Loves chasing string
 
My perfect forever home needs to be a safe space with outdoor access.
 
My family has to be a special one because I need people who will understand me.
 
I have had a really tough life living on the streets before Mitzi’s found me and took care of me.
 
I was covered in fleas,underweight, my paws were all scabbed over from walking on hot pavement, I hurt all over and most of all I was very scared.
 
My luck changed when I went into the care of my foster mum and dad. I have learned that humans are the BEST! I am flea free, neutered, chipped so I can’t get lost!, gaining weight (now we need to stop gaining it) my paws have healed well, I hurt a little in my hips at times my foster parents worked with the Vets and did tests with pain killers and that has helped. I haven’t had them in a while and I am still feeling awesome!
 
As I am sure you can understand living on the streets has given me a funny tummy so I am sticking to a diet for sensitive cats. I have gained the weight I needed on this yummy food and now I need to stabilise my weight so my mum and dad are trying me on a different diet.
 
Thank you for reading this. I really am in need of a forever home. My vet says that I am ready to go. This place is great but I’m not allowed outside and they have a crazy rabbit that keeps chasing me. I need out!
 
Maxwell is a gentleman of a cat but because of his past life he is still wary when people touch his hind or paws (though much better than when he first came in). We need people who can understand that he can nip as a reaction when he is upset. He does tell you in body language before which adults can understand. This means we are looking for a understanding family with no young kids.
