Joe
HOME PENDING

As what we thought at the time to be the only boy in the family of seven (see Cathy's story for more details on that) brought in together last October, Joe loved to be spoiled by his big sisters/cousins/ mother - not his sibling sister, Chrissie, or brother Larry (originally thought to be 'Lara'!), of course, because they just think he's a wimp. At first he would hide behind his mum, Cathy, but then his preference was to cuddle into Lesley. Maybe she made more of a fuss of him when his siblings were pushing themselves forward for attention. He was the shyest of the three kittens and the first time I took them to the vet for a check-up he was the one who made a fuss while the other two took it all in their stride. When they went for their first set of vaccinations, though, Joe was just as well behaved as Chrissie and Larry. Sometimes the lads just need to follow the good example shown by the lasses you know, but Larry has now proven that he can be brave too. I don't doubt Joe will take a bit longer to settle into a new life away from his family than the Larry and Chrissie will, so would just love if he could be homed either with Larry or another family member. Failing that, a home where there's another cat with a gentle temperament would also help him feel safe. He's such a lovely little man and he'll do well in kind, patient and caring hands. All three kittens are now neutered/spayed and have had their vaccinations and their microchips inserted. A home that would allow Joe access to the outdoors when he's very well settled would be just wonderful but, as with all of them, by far the most important thing is a loving home with kind people.
