Alula
HOME PENDING

Baby Alula came into our care along with her mum and siblings Spook, Griffin and Leo when she was just a wee tot of four weeks old. This little family had been very fortunate because mum had found a kind human family who didn't chase her away, as many do, but rather made her up a shelter where she could give birth to her babies in safety and fed her well. Her mother will be spayed, vaccinated and chipped soon but isn't ready for homing just yet as she's still a bit wary of people. No doubt she had a hard time on the streets before stumbling into that garden and finding herself made so welcome.

Alula is the only wee girl in the litter and, very much like her brother Spook, is very sweet and friendly but just a little shy. Her foster mum tells me Alula loves her food, especially a bit of chicken, and despite her size has tha audacity to growl at anyone who dares to think they can have some of her grub! Alula and her brothers will be taken for their second set of vaccintions on JUly 6th, at which point they'll also be microchipped and be given another wormer and that will be her ready to go on to her Forever home with a loving family. These babies aren't old enough or heavy enough to be neutered or spayed yet but we do ask their new people to ensure that this is done and they will not be allowed to breed. There are just too many needy animals out there already, all deperate for homes! A home which can allow Alula access to a garden or other safe outdoor space once she's a 'big' girl and been spayed would be just wonderful.
N.B. At the moment the U.K. is still in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it is still possible to carry on the work of the charity without contravening safety guidelines. Potential new homes can still be visited, meeting either in the garden or street. Although some restrictions have now been lifted in England they don't yet apply in the rest of the UK and so people still can't visit any of the cats in their foster homes. All we can do for now is provide photographs and absolutely all information about each individual cat or kitten and then deliver the cat to his or her new family.
