Marigold
This beautiful girl is the sister of Lucy, Freya and Alice, all born to a wee mum living rough on and near an industrial estate. Marigold is just as sweet and good natured as her sisters, but of course she thinks that she's the most beautiful of them all. They all think they fall into that category though; if you've ever had a tortie you'll know that they're fully aware of their own beauty and expect you to acknowledge that on a regular basis. Of course Marigold is just as full of utter bonkerdness as her sisters and their wee pals Edwin and Gabriel, but that's exactly how kittens should be - just don't expect them to have any respect whatsoever for your furniture or curtains. Marigold shares her sisters' hobbies of overnight partying and creating chaos and particularly enjoys watching me replace the bedding they've tossed into the food and water dishes while they compete to see who can be first to land the jingly toys into the middle of the litter trays. I love their total disregard for anyone but themselves and whatever gives them fun, but maybe that's a result of being subjected to feline brainwashing techniques over a period of several years. Marigold will have her second set of vaccinations and be microchipped on Oct 15th but isn't big enough yet to be spayed. Anyone wishing to offer her a home would have to guarantee that the spaying op would be done and not allow her to breed. A home with children aged 5+ should be just fine for Marigold and I'm sure she would appreciate being able to get outdoors for exploratory sessions once very well settled.
N.B. At the moment the U.K. is still in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it is still possible to carry on the work of the charity without contravening safety guidelines. Potential new homes can still be visited, meeting either in the garden or street. Although some restrictions have now been lifted in England they don't yet apply in the rest of the UK and so people still can't visit any of the cats in their foster homes. All we can do for now is provide photographs and absolutely all information about each individual cat or kitten and then deliver the cat to his or her new family.
