Hi everyone! That gorgeous big boy you see is me, Herman. I am a 12 year old male. I’d previously been living as a stray for at least 10 years, and some kind people were feeding me. However one day when I went to their house they noticed I was getting in quite a poor condition as I had some wounds on my neck. Even though I was very scared, I was very good for the staff here and let them clean me up, and give me some medicine and then I felt much better. I am now ready for rehoming, to find my forever home. I still find the environment here a little daunting so when you come to see me I may hiss initially, but please don’t be put off. Once you’ve spent a few minutes with me you’ll see how much I actually liked to be stroked and especially love being brushed! All the cat handlers here say I’m very friendly really. I would prefer a home with no children or other pets at this time so I can properly settle into my new house.
