MISTY
Misty arrived here in March after her elderly owner died suddenly.

She is one of five cats we’ve helped from the same household, along with one of the rabbits.
However she did come to us needing extensive dental treatment and suffering badly with wet and milliary dermatitis.
She had bloods run to check her liver, kidney function etc and passed with flying colours.
We then went ahead and had her teeth sorted and they are now all done and so far she needs no further dental work doing.
Her dermatitis needed steroids to get under control and now months later, whilst we do not know the exact cause, we are able to manage it and she now has a lovely silky coat.
She has had various allergy tests done so we now know she is allergic to fleas and some other things.

Although she will always need treatment for her dermatitis, it would be lovely if we could find her a loving home where she could live out her days.
She is quite a nervous cat and not the easiest to catch and handle. However she will actually come at night  and absolutely demands lots of strokes and attention.
We will continue to fund any treatment she needs for her dermatitis but we will ask anyone wishing to adopt her, take up the insurance so that should any new conditions are covered. We can provide her with a covered for life policy despite her age and you could not get this from elsewhere as it’s a special deal Petplan do for charities with elderly cats.

An absolutely quiet home only is essential. No young children must live there.
She has lived with dogs so could be ok but they were elderly so no boisterous ones please.
Although she lived in a home with 12 cats, she dislikes other cats intensely and so going to live in a home with other cats could prove difficult.
