STRAWBERRY PERSIAN AND PEDIGREE CAT RESCUE

If adopting or maybe interested please email for a pre adoption form, it does not mean you will not get to chat - you can email just for a chat to be arranged scheduled at your convenience with one of our lovely adoption team, do not call,as our phone volunteer needs to focus on cats needing coming into us and those giving up cats can need to chat to someone about this emotional and difficult time, the odd cat needing to come in can be very urgent as well and some may be put to sleep if we do not action quickly, but email to adopt and easiest do a form so we can call you as we know what you want and what home you can provide and often we know cats due in and not listed yet!!! So much better for you as an adopter!
email [email protected] or via website

We can have cats moved between main fosterers if reserved that you are sure you want to adopt (£50 is reservation, we cannot move cats just to view as that is very bad for the cats and we do not do trial adoptions - we are wanting least stress for every single cat, some may have had various non matched applications, we do the right for each cat and many who know us just ask for a matched cat - as we want you and cat happy!!!!!

See our website for more details, we have fosterers in various locations but the cats can be moved between main locations of Upminster and Malvern where we have fosterers. We have a fosterer in NE and one in Oswestry, but look at each cat for location. If a cat is reserved and is definately wanted, we do regular transport runs to The wirral (near Liverpool), between Malvern (near Worcester, Worcestershire, Ross on Wye - not a world away from Ledbury, Birmingham etc) and Upminster is on underground and overground from Fenchurch St London.

Ruby Rhubarb - age 3 Persian girl.

Her friend called Strawberry the cat is aged 4. Ready to adopt now and location is in Greater London or Worcester - fo. Indoor only. No dogs and no children under 10 as not used to them. Vacc and dental done before rehome. Spayed already. Lived with a cat named Strawberry also listed. Strawberry is fine with litter tray, Ruby uses litter tray but when part of a home with 9 cats she is suspected to of using outside litter tray for wees when jealous about other cats getting love and as she is being bullied by some of them. So ideally they go as a pair to a home with lots and lots of love, but maybe they can share with one other non dominant indoor only cat. Fed Royal Canin Sensible 33. They also have a bit of dry Royal Canin Aromatic Attraction or Exigent Savour Sensation from time to time. Strawberry loves food, and will steal anything from any of the other cats if she can. She always turns up in the kitchen when there’s food about and shouts for some. By all rights she should be huge but she isn’t. . Strawberry tolerates being picked up but isn’t really a fan although she does like a fuss. She gets on well with my other cats. Rhubarb is tiny like a teacup chichilla and was handfed . She always seems to need a face wash. Ruby would really benefit from having someone at home all day who can just adore her. She just wants to be loved I think although she is quite happy doing her own thing for quite a lot of the time. Both cats are used to having people around all day. Neither of them are keen on being combed but Strawberry tolerates it quite well with a firm hand. Ruby had her lion cut clipped a few months ago when things got too bad so we could start again. She is a sweetie though so my guess is she will be fine if she is brushed everyday.

Adoption fee is £200 each, they must stay as a pair.

Before applying for a Strawberry cat please read the following.

1. Unless otherwise stated, our cats are strictly indoor only. This means that windows/doors cannot be left open in any room to which the cat has access. A cat cannot be trained to be indoor only - it must be supervised. All members of the house must be in agreement, and understand about keeping doors and windows closed. We are happy to re-home to a flat but, likewise, this means windows closed and no balcony access, unless the balcony is totally cat-proofed (netting all the way), same is true for roof terraces, so that they cannot drop to their death.

2. Unless otherwise stated, we do not re-home to children under 6 years old. If there is nothing stated to contrary, assume the cat cannot go to a child under six. For other cats, please also bear in mind that some cats may also be found to be unsuitable, even for children over 6.

3. It is a requirement of our adoption policy that lifetime insurance is obtained and maintained

for every cat adopted. We provide 5 weeks free insurance with every adoption, but the original policy may not suit you and as we are not financial advisors you should seek out the best and appropriate insurance to suit your own needs.

4. Most cats are in Greater London, Essex or Kent, with some fostered further afield. We have volunteers who can transport cats nearer or to you, but fuel costs are payable by yourselves.

If you are happy with the above criteria and want to enquire further or reserve a cat, please email.
