Rehoming Cats & Kittens: Derbyshire & South Yorkshire
Sybil
Sybil and her little family were dumped on a stranger's doorstep late one night in November, all squashed into one carrier, Sybil, her two kittens and another young adult cat.  It must have been a terrifying experience for her but once safe in a foster home she got on with caring for her kittens and making friends with her foster carers,  She's a little shy initially but very sweet and gentle once she gets to know you and loves being stroked..  Her kittens are 6 months old now and she's well ready to find a place of her own.

UPDATE 09/01/2022  Sybil is now reserved for adoption

She's been neutered and microchipped and has started her primary course of vaccinations.  Her second vaccination is due in early January, after which she'll be ready to go to her new home.  She's been health checked by our vet of course and seems to have no ill effects of her traumatic experience..

She'd fit fairly happily into any home really.  With careful introductions she might be fine with another friendly cat but she'll probably be equally happy to have her own space.  She's had some supervised contact with young children in her foster home and has been gentle and friendly, so should be ok with children who know how to treat animals with respect.  We wonder if she may have been an indoor cat and might settle to that in her new home, but she may also like a safe garden to potter around in once she's settled, so she needs a home that is well away from any busy roads.  For safety reasons we strongly recommend that they’re kept indoors during hours of darkness for the whole of their lives, and have an indoor litter tray available for use all all times.

We always homecheck prior to adoption and ask a minimum donation of £80 .

There’s more about our adoption process here: http://www.8livescatrescue.org/adoption-process.html and there's info about how we've adapted the process in light of Covid here: https://8livescatrescue.com/2020/11/21/adapting-and-adopting/  We currently using a blend of the pre and post covid processes depending on circumstances and preferences.

You’ll find some more photos and stories about our cats on our blog: https://8livescatrescue.wordpress.com/ and facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/8Lives/

Please note that although we are listed on Cat Chat in both South Yorkshire and Derbyshire, we only rehome in Sheffield and just over the border into Derbyshire.
