Piper
Piper came to us age 5 months, as she unfortunately did not get on well with the cats in her previous home.

UPDATE 1 December: Piper is now reserved for adoption

She is sweet and purry, and very playful and loves to be involved in whatever is going off in the house.  She enjoys "working from home" - the desk is just The Best playground, pens to steal, papers to chew, she's even been known to run off with my headset, glasses AND my stress putty! ... not all at the same time I hasten to add.  Everything is fun and she gives back lots of love.

Just a word of warning though ... she can get a bit over enthusiastic and be clumsy with her claws and teeth.  It's not in any way aggressive.  We think she was probably separated from her mother and siblings too soon. Kittens who have sufficient time with their mum and siblings quickly learn that biting hurts and it's best not to do it. Kittens who aren't so lucky have to learn this later from their humans.  She's easily stopped with a "no" or a hiss, or distracted by a toy and has shown clear signs of learning this lesson in the few weeks she's been with us. .

Piper is looking for an experienced cat owner who will continue this learning process.  She needs a home without young children or other pets, and a safe garden to chase around and run off her kitten energy in once she has settled. In a loving home environment, with the right care and attention, Piper should blossom into a super friendly adult  cat.

Piper has had her full course of vaccinations, has been neutered and microchipped and is up to date with her worm and flea treatment. All our adoptions come with four weeks free insurance through Pet Plan.

If you love torties and can offer her a furever home please contact us at [email protected].   We always homecheck prior to adoption and ask a minimum donation of £80 for a neutered kitten.

There’s more about our adoption process here: http://www.8livescatrescue.org/adoption-process.html .  Please note that the web page details our process prior to COVID and we are currently needing to adapt the process in order to manage adoptions safely for the humans as well as the cats.  Our homechecks will be done virtually on Zoom and it will not be possible to come to meet the cats in purrson.  The blog post on the Cat Chat website gives some idea of what adaptations to expect in the adoption process since COVID: https://www.catchat.org/index.php/blog/1847-covid-19-adapting-adopting
