Hollie
None of us have had an easy time over the last year, but poor little Hollie has had it really tough.  Sadly both her humans died within months of each other, and then she's spent over six months living in a house on her own with someone just popping in to feed her each day.  She's very glad of company since she arrived in rescue and it very purry and fussy.  She loves to be stroked.  She was a little unsure about playing when she first arrived, I guess she's not had much opportunity to do that recently, but she's getting into it now.

Update 17 April: this lovely lady is now reserved for adoption

She's had a health check at the vets which revealed no issues.  She's neutered and microchipped and has started her primary course of vaccinations. Her second vaccination is due in mid April and is already paid for at our vets in Millhouses, so she'll need to be able to return there for that.  She's now up to date with flea and worm treatment.

Hollie has kept her long fur beautifully clean and generally untangled, but she'll benefit from having a human servant who is happy to help her with it to keep knots to a minimum.  Thankfully she loooooooves being brushed.

She'll probably do best in a fairly quiet home where there's someone around to keep her company.   She's not been used to living with other pets or children.  She's quite gentle so could be fine with cat savvy older kids who know how to treat cats with respect and give them the space they need.

We understand that she's been used to being able to go outdoors.  She'll need to be kept safely indoors for AT LEAST A MONTH on arrival in her new home, but after that will enjoy having a safe garden to explore, well away from any busy roads.  We strongly recommend that cats are kept indoors during hours of darkness, with access to a litter tray.  It's safer for them and for local wildlife!

All our adoptions bring 4 weeks free insurance through Pet Plan.

We always homecheck prior to adoption, and ask a minimum donation of £80 for each adult neutered cat.. There’s more about our adoption process here: http://www.8livescatrescue.org/adoption-process.html and there's info about how we've adapted the process in light of Covid here: https://8livescatrescue.com/2020/11/21/adapting-and-adopting/

Please note that although we are listed on Cat Chat in both South Yorkshire and Derbyshire, we only rehome in Sheffield and just over the border into Derbyshire.

Please contact us at [email protected] if you think you can offer her the home she deserves.
