Teddy
Teddy came into rescue after he'd spent several weeks living at a bus stop.  Extensive searches could find no owner so we think he's either been abandoned or perhaps become homeless when someone has died.  He was in a bit of a state with an infected wound on his face and his coat all dirty and matted.

UPDATE 4 September:  This gorgeous boy is now reserved for adoption

Ted's face is now healed and his fur is starting to look much better, but it will take time for his heart to heal and for him to fully trust humans again.  He purrs and enjoys chicken treats and will play a little but is yet to find his joy for life and enthusiasm.

He's had a health check at the vets and all is ok,  He's been neutered and microchipped and has started his vaccinations.  His second vaccination is due in September but he can go to his new home before then if his new family are able to take him back to our vets for it.

Ted is probably best suited to having a quiet home for his own, without kids or other pets, where he can have some attention on his own terms.
He'll need to be kept securely indoors for at LEAST A MONTH on arrival in his new home.  After that, and when he's more confident, he may enjoy having a secure garden to explore, well away from any busy roads.  We do require adopters to keep cats indoors during hours of darkness though ... for their own safety and that of local wildlife .. and to have access to an indoor litter tray at all times.

All our adoptions bring 4 weeks free insurance through Pet Plan.

We always homecheck prior to adoption, and ask a minimum donation of £80 for each adult neutered cat.. There’s more about our adoption process here: http://www.8livescatrescue.org/adoption-process.html and there's info about how we've adapted the process in light of Covid here: https://8livescatrescue.com/2020/11/21/adapting-and-adopting/
