Vixon arrived in care at the end of last year via an inspector. She had been a stray for some and was in poor condition. We believe she is at least 13 years old.

When she arrived in care, Vixon's mouth was ulcerated and inflamed. She underwent dental surgery which has helped but she still suffers from gingivitis and stomatitis. Unfortunately, this condition will be ongoing but can be managed. Vixon has been prescribed Atopica and our vet is happy with her response so far. Potential adopters should bear in mind that as a pre-existing condition, treatment will not be cover by pet insurance. 

Despite her condition, pretty and affectionate, Vixon is a lovely kitty. After the settling in period in her foster home, Vixon has relaxed and become a lovely companion kitty. She loves a gentle fuss and still enjoys playing, especially with feathers. Vixon can be very communicative and makes lots of adorable squeaks and chirrups. She may be able to live with secondary school-aged children but would prefer to be the only cat.
