In January, we accepted almost 40 cats into our care that were rescued by the inspectorate from one house. They were living in unhealthy, crowded conditions and their needs were not being met.

With so many cats to name, we needed a theme; meet our Veganuary rescue cats. The majority of these cats are timid and scared due to a lack of socialisation and normal home experiences. Very sadly, they are struggling to cope and are overwhelmed by unfamiliar situations and people.

Tomato is a year old male. He is looking for a very special home where he can gradually gain his confidence. He is a very shy cat and will need to be allowed to settle and feel safe in his own time and not be rushed. It is essential that his new home be quiet and calm and preferably adult-only. However, we will consider experienced cat homes with older teenage children. Tomato could potentially live with another cat.
