Lily
Lovely Lily was found living behind a row of bins after her owners left her behind when they moved away. Some neighbours were feeding her for 4 years till Feline Friends heard about her plight and took her into foster care. The fosterer thinks that she probably used to be an indoor cat. She has impeccable toilet habits and is a very clean and gentle and affectionate lady. She will take some time to get used to her new home but when adjusted she will like to spend time with her humans. She sleeps on the bed with her fosterer (and on her), asks to be stroked and petted, eats regular daytime meals, and has started saying 'mrrp'as well as a soft mew.

She is active and agile, has started experimenting with sitting on the fosterer’s lap, and will go into the cat carrier with food inducements. She has no bad habits save that in common with most rescue cats she begs food outside mealtimes, and jumps up to get at the food as the bowl is being put down and then gulps it down. She does not try to steal food nor jump on the kitchen counter. She always uses her tray with no accidents. She uses a cat scratch pole and a floor scratch pad, and although she does like to exercise her claws she does not scratch the furniture. She has the most charming habit of lying on her side and kneading her paws in the air.

Lily is slightly overweight and although lost a bit of weight her weight needs to be carefully managed. As an ex-stray she has got into the habit to demand food as if she is always starving. Luckily she likes her puzzle feeder with makes her slow down her calorie intake. She has not attempted to run away. She shows some interest in looking at the garden but is frightened when the door opens. She gets agitated when she sees other cats. Given her fears and subsequent behaviour she will need a secure patio garden, catio or a totally cat-proofed balcony. Lily needs a secure home with calm, experienced carers and without children or other pets.
