Minty
Minty is a well-groomed, sweet but sensitive girl. She is a very bright cat who loves to play fetch with straws for as long as you’ll keep playing with her. She is never 100% relaxed but once she trusts you she will be very affectionate and playful. Although Minty was used to being on her own, she does love attention and will chirrup and miaow to let you know, often following you around. Even in the early days of fostering when she was very apprehensive, she still rolled over to get a good belly rub as long as it’s on her terms.

Minty is not a lap cat but she loves to sit very close to you on the sofa in the evenings and shower you in kisses. Minty previously lived with her one owner indoors and has never been outside. She is currently being fostered indoors and she would benefit from being in a new indoor-only home that does not have easy visibility to other cats or animals outside (i.e. a second floor or higher flat) as this causes her to become quite distressed. Minty is not suitable to be rehomed with children or other pets as she can display aggression when feeling frightened of other animals. After months of fostering, Minty has become very communicative but she is still very independent and would be fine to be left at home alone during the day.

Minty is initially very shy and hisses loudly when she’s afraid, but her bark is worse than her bite (she will give you a little warning nip when she’s had enough affection or playtime) and over time she will become a loving companion to someone once she has trusted you. She needs a patient adopter in a calm home who is willing to give her time and space to re-settle and build a new bond.
