Jack
Lovely Jack is 10 years old and a real treasure! This delightful old gentleman gets on with other cats in our sanctuary but seems equally happy on his own.

He suffers from diabetes but is very good about taking his daily injections. He needs to keep to a strict diet to control his diabetes though he would just love to eat food that will make his condition worse! Being an only cat would be easier to manage, with less food around to tempt him, but feeding him separately from other cats in the household could work too. It has taken us a while to get his condition stable so a strict regime is needed, even though his gentle nature and loving eyes could have you pandering to his every whim! It's for his own good!

Because we recognise that his diabetes will need lifelong treatment, poor chap, our charity is willing to cover the cost of Jack's monthly insulin if that makes a difference to his chances of finding his forever home. For this reason, we would prefer to re-home him within our district and so that we can provide ongoing support if necessary. Alternatively, we'd be pleased to talk about a long-term fostering arrangement for him if that tempts you to offer him a life outside our sanctuary. On the other hand, if you are willing to take Jack on as one of your family, diabetes and all, please talk to us so we can discuss what's best for him.
