Charlie boy!

Charlie’s Story

When he came to us - he was a mess, mentally.

He was being passed around from person to person on pre loved, he came into rescue as a highly stressed out male - one of the worst cases I’ve seen.

He had taken a lot of fur off his back legs and tail through stress, so it had been going on a while.

He was urinating everywhere, the moment he felt that stress he had to do it, at times he was drenched in his own urine just sat there waiting for foster mum to clean him up.

He would cower afterwards expecting something awful to follow, I dread to think what previous owners were doing to him.

He saw another cat he instantly thought he had to fight.

He wasn’t neutered, this was feeding the anxiety no end.

Foster mum spent morning and night disinfecting, cleaning up the urine, spending lots of time with him.

We had him neutered and tried a different plug in - pet remedy - as feliways were just not working.

We had his urine tested for infection - that was fine.

Finally we have turned a huge corner with Charlie, he has stopped utinating everywhere, he is now in the same room with other cats, he rolls over into his back and enjoys oodles of tummy rubs and is loving life. He is a very loving soul

This is what happens when people “think” they know what they are doing with animals. Then, when the problems come they just give them away like some piece of rubbish.

Charlie is only a baby, 12mths old and has had to endure all this, would you treat a baby like this?

We hope that Charlie’s luck continues and an amazing person/family comes forward to offer Charlie a forever home.
