Marshmallow
Marshmallow  had been trapped in April. Bleeding, bruised and with a broken tooth and an injured paw and tail he desperately needed help, but being feral, catching him wasn't easy. He was lucky to have his guardian angel who fed him for weeks and who worked on getting him to her house (which he trashed) as he was avoiding a cat trap. After a local shelter advised her that he would be euthanised due to his injuries, she contacted us. She has covered a very high veterinary bill for Marshmallow including his dental, and made sure we didn't spend a penny on him, which was incredibly generous.

The big boy stayed with us and we did what we always do with cats like him: we gave him all the time that he needed. He was given a separate room and he could watch us and the other cats while he was healing from physical wounds. Eventually he started exploring the house. Like other ferals, he's very good with other cats and he quickly became "one of the pack", which helped us with socialising him. Fast forward 3 months, he now eats with the others and he is able to take naps belly up in the presence of humans. He won't allow to be touched, but that's OK. It's lovely that he follows us around and he wants to be with us. These days he'd much rather watch birds on the telly than in the garden.

The type of home we are looking for Marshmallow is one where the adopter will be able to handle a cat like this. He will improve in a few months but the adopter will need to work with him and just let him be. He needs a home with access to a secure garden or a catio, and he can live with other cats if they are friendly and won't try to beat him up. He is a big cat the size of a Maine Coon, but is soft and gentle. He does like to nap on the bed and he currently even has a girlfriend, our resident cat.

Marshmallow is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated including leukaemia, FIV/FeLV negative, flea and worm treated. He's had one tooth extraction and his teeth were polished. He has a clean bill of health and he comes with full veterinary history and 5 weeks insurance cover. He's all white with a bit longer fur and a fluffy tail.

Pre-adoption house check and adoption fee of £120 applies. If you own your property and you think you are the right family for Marshmallow, please contact us on [email protected] writing a few words about your previous experience with cats and providing us with your address for Google maps search.
