Archer is a stunning 6 year old Silver Rosetted Male Bengal

Archers owner very honestly has given the following information....

Sadly I'm looking to rehome my six-year-old male neutered Bengal Cat, Archer.

Archer has been with me for a near year and a half after being rehomed by a well know rescue/charity.

I was informed by the charity that Archer needed to be homed after his old family moved from a country home to a built-up area.  Archer didn't settle in well and didn't get on with the other cats around his new house.

I took Archer on as I live in a very quiet culdesac with a big field behind me for Archer to hunt in and very few cats in the area. Archer is a very loving cat and loves a cuddle, but sadly it would seem that my home is not a healthy environment for him either.

Over the past few months, Archer has been attacking my partner and me whenever we leave the house and a couple of times when we have just been sitting watching the TV.

I called charity's behaviour specialist and they suggested up-ing his play and creating better enrichment games for him. Over the past 2 months, this has thankfully worked.

The charity did state that his aggression could turn to other people or cats.

Sadly this has been the case; Over the past few months I have had people knock on my door explaining that Archer had severely injured their cats; One woman's cat had no teeth. The poor thing had no chance!

After speaking to charity, they suggested that it might be best for Archer to be rehomed to a place with zero cats around him and an ample space for him to hunt. Such a farm. But they also stressed that they would also need to be with a family with no young children and also be able to tolerate him if he starts attacking owners again.

In the words of the charity, "this is a needle in a haystack", and for this reason, they would not be able to assist in rehoming him.

Their only other suggestions were to enclose him in our garden (that's not possible) or sadly euthanise him as they see him as a danger to the other cats in the area because of his size and breed.

I can not do this as I know there is a home out there, and he is such a loving cat.

So I'm going at it alone to try and find Archer a new home.

I am heartbroken that I can't provide him with the home and environment that he needs, but I'm hoping someone can.
