Diego & Dora
Diego (Male, Black) & Dora (Female, Calico)
Approx. 6 Months

This brother & sister pair are part of a litter found living in a garden with their mum at 9/10 weeks old. They had had zero interaction with humans but have come so far during their time in foster and are now ready to move to their new forever home. It’s been such a delight to see them develop.

Diego is a spectacular, glossy boy who’s wonderfully big and strong. He took a little time to tame and socialise but he now greets me with lovely cuddles and strokes especially in the morning. He can grab and nip a little during cuddles but in a more playful manner. For such a big boy he loves squeezing into the tiniest sleeping spaces and likes to dunk his toys in his water!!

Dora, where to start with Dora. Obviously, she’s so beautiful! But she also has the funniest, sassiest little personality. She’s always watching what’s going on and holds her own with her much bigger brothers. She has been slower to come around to being stroked and only this week we have started to make real progress with her and she now accepts them and we have even had a few purrs!  She will quite happily interact with us through play. She can be a little feisty when she needs medicating or putting in a carrier but she’s easily petite enough to handle.

I am definitely biased but I really adore these two!! It’s been so rewarding seeing them grow in confidence and we’re almost there. Although they may take a step or two backwards when moving into a new home, with the right home and owners I think they will flourish into wonderful companions. While I can’t guarantee this, I think they’ll come around with lots of interactive play (they love a feather stick!), company and time to settle in. This probably means a quieter home with older children and no other pets.

These kittens have had some health concerns during their foster period. They have had two courses of antibiotics after being diagnosed with Giardia. They have had no further symptoms since finishing this final course of antibiotics. They are positive for Feline Coronavirus (FCoV) but again shows no symptoms. They are currently on a diet of high-quality food and this should be continued before considering a slow transition to other food.
