Lulu who is 2/3 years old arrived into Rescue heavily pregnant and delivered 3 kittens in December. Lulu is only a tiny cat herself but proved to be a great mum. The day she was booked in to be spayed we received a call to help a newborn kitten who's mum couldn't feed it. We offered to bottle feed and also encouraged Lulu to help, as she still had her last kitten and a milk supply. Although Lulu was not overly happy with rearing yet another baby in such a short a time - a joint effort from her and us has saved the little one. During this time Lulu's own kitten has stayed with her to help the milk supply which has given them a great bond.
Hopefully, in a few weeks time the baby kitten will be weaned and will be leaving to join some other kittens of a similar age.
So we are now preparing to find a forever home for Lulu and her kitten - TOGETHER. We will not home them separately, so please do not enquire unless you can offer them both a home, without other pets or young children.
