Meet Louie.
It is believed that before he came into Guardian Angel's care, life had been very different. He had turned up as a very thin stray, eating any leftover food he could find. Upon coming into our care it was discovered that he was an entire male, who had contracted a virus (FIV) which means that his immune system doesn’t work as well as it should usually being transmitted from an infected cat via fighting - therefore, we are looking for a loving indoor home for him.
It's also apparent that poor Louie had at some point been violently assaulted, kicked in the mouth and his back legs. Two of his front teeth were broken and were extracted, and his hind legs are stiffer than should be expected due to old injuries So you can see, he’s had a difficult life in the past.
Here’s a little write-up from his current foster parents, as you can see they think the world of him:
“We call him King Louie, because that's who he is, with a gorgeous red and brown tabby pattern that sets him apart from the rest. A king who has seen it all in his short life, he definitely deserves his throne inside a loving home. He might not have much of a roar or meow but he has a mighty purr. All he wants is to show affection, he'll headbutt you when it's time for a stroke and a scratch, and he'll always think it's time for food-don't let him fool you. He isn't much of a lap cat but loves being near his human, often within headbutt distance. Nothing phases him, he doesn't mind background noise or spiders, He might need a bit of encouragement to jump up to the couch or bed but he is generally staying on the ground level or on a low sofa. His favourite toy is a hessian rug, nice for scratching and rolling under, or a fluffy toy with a bell.”
