Lilly came into our care after her owner died, all of the family lived up north and time had run out for them to have the house empty. Lilly was taken to be euthanised but the vets were not happy to do so and as a last resort she came to us. Lilly was a very strong minded lady who has the disconcerting habit of schmoozing all around you, rubbing her head and purring then deciding she has changed her mind and swiping out. This has improved drastically since she has been in care and she now has no issues with anything other than kittens,she has not changed her grumpiness towards them in the slightest. She is generally now quite good unless people try to take liberties or make her jump unexpectedly.She needs someone who won't be nervous of her or react negatively if she needs some time to settle. Lilly is a large and lovely looking girl who despite her size can be quite playful with which tends to look quite funny, I try to avoid laughing at her so she has no excuses for being mardy. She loves to be outdoors especially when it is sunny, her favourite thing is a roll around in the grass which is not particularly ladylike but no one mentions it to her ! We are looking for a home with a lot of outdoor space as she is used to a lot of time outdoors. We have now had Lilly with us for five years which is a long time with no home of her own.
