Thunda is a 10 year old lady looking for an extremely patient and understanding forever home. Thunda does not deal very well with change and it makes her very nervous. She is quite a shy cat to begin with. Thunda is very vocal and her meows can sometimes sound quite menacing. We are not entirely convinced they always are as she does them whilst wanting attention too. Thunda enjoys a play with something on the end of string, she enjoys a good bit of catnip. Thunda will need an adult only home with no other animals or children. At first Thunda could potentially lunge towards you, hiss or growl. She had hissed and growled at her foster carer but she has not attacked her, we do think she has a potential to do it at first when scared. Thunda's foster carer spent a lot of time just sitting in the room with her, not touching or looking at her but just talking and letting her know she was there. She loves food and it is a way to her heart. Thunda started to relax and started to come and rub against her foster carer and climb on her knee for attention. At first her foster carer did not touch her but slowly started to stroke the back of her head/neck area, she very much enjoyed this but it has to be at her pace. We strongly advise anyone considering adopting Thunda to read our recent post on how long it can take a cat to settle and maybe add extra time for a cat as nervous as Thunda. She is a beautiful cat, she has a lovely loud purr and squeaks at you. She needs a home where she can roam and guide you as to what she wants and needs. Thunda came to us through no fault of her own, unfortunately her owner had a change of circumstances that led to this sudden change after such a long time. Thunda has been neutered, she is microchipped and has been treated for fleas and worms.
