Cookie
Hello, my name is Cookie and I am 18 months of age.

I came into the care of CP along with my brother Paws as our owners children had severe allergies to us. This was a very sad relinquishment for the family as the children were very found of us and us of them and CP have promised to find us a new home together.

Our previous owners got 5 gold starts from CP for the care they had provided to us. We were spayed, fully vaccinated (up to date with our boosters), microchipped and fully up to date with our flea and worm treatments.

We are very calm cats who enjoy human company sociable around adults and well-behaved children. We are not used to other cats or dogs and haven’t been around babies.

Our ideal home – We want to be together, so you will need to have room in your home and heart for both of us.

Have space for our small cat tree and scratcher (we brought those with us from our previous home); be prepared to provide us with a nice cosy bed to snuggle in together and the usual regular food and fresh water and vet care etc. In return we shall be great companions and lap cats. We are both very clean and fully litter trained.

We would be suited to a family environment as we are used to being around children, however please bear in mind that we would prefer a quiet home as we are placid and timid in nature and that we need to be kept strictly indoors to become familiar with our new home and environment for AT LEAST 6 weeks, so young children must not mistakenly leave the door open for us to escape. We are used to someone being around part of the day and so would like a new home where there is someone to spend time with us and not be left for excessive periods of time. In our previous home we used a cat-flap and did venture outdoors but didn’t stray far from the back garden.

If you are interested in adopting me (Cookie) AND my brother (Paws) – please do not ask to separate us as all such requests shall be refused, please call Joan our Adoption Team Leader on 01922 682005. A home check and an adoption fee of £75 per each of us shall apply. If you live in rented accommodation, proof that your landlord will allow cats is required such as copy of your tenancy agreement or a letter in writing prior to adoption.
