If you are interested in giving a home to one of our cats, please bear in mind that we will invariably be paying your home a visit prior to adoption and at the point of adoption will request a realistic homing donation to go towards covering part of the costs, most importantly veterinary care. 

We have calculated that, on average, it costs the Sanctuary more than £200 for each cat that crosses our doors before it finds its way to your home. 

Here is what cat care costs these days (per cat):

£££ Veterinary Health check £35
£££ Neutering: £60-£90
£££ Flea treatment and worming: £10 per month
£££ Vaccination (set of jabs): £40-£60
£££ Microchipping: £20
£££ Month's supply of food and litter: £30
£££ Dentals (when necessary): £250+
£££ Geriatric blood/urine tests for senior cats: £75-£125+
£££ FIV/FELV blood tests for stray or poorly cats: £40

In addition, your donations go towards funding:

£££ Heating both sanctuary sites (all cat units): £2,000 a year!
£££ Fuel & logistics costs to rescue, vet trips, home visits, homings etc.....
£££ Cleaning, equipment, bedding, toys etc...
£££ Phone line, website, all consumables ...

We are transparent in where we spend our funding and operate an open-door policy for anyone interested in donating, wishing to volunteer or interested in adopting a Catcuddles kitty.

We kindly request that you consider our costs when deciding on the level of donation you are comfortable making when homing one of our cats. We are happy to answer any questions you may have before deciding on your donation. We hope you can appreciate the value of our work and can give generously.
