Adoption procedure - Please read! Cat Action Trust 1977 Doncaster South branch do everything possible to ensure all the cats and kittens we rehome have long, happy, healthy lives.  All of our animals will have seen our vets to start vaccinations and have a health check and appropriate flea and worm treatments.  All are homed with 5 weeks free insurance and a Pet Remedy New Home Kit.

As all of our rescued cats and kittens are looked after in foster homes, we ask that we do a home check prior to you visiting any of our animals, this is a friendly and informal process. Ideally we do not rehome to houses directly on/next to main roads, railway lines, or canals or rivers, unless the home has a fully secure garden. Some animals can live happily as indoor only pets, please read the profiles, each cat and kitten is different and will have different needs.

Our adoption forms state that each animal must be neutered (if not already done they will be homed with a neutering contract) and vaccinated (or boosters each year), and also never let out at night. They also must have access to a litter tray for the rest of their life.  It will soon become a legal requirement for all cats and kittens over 20 weeks of age to be microchipped, this will be done prior to adoption for every animal.  The animal must not be passed on to anyone else, without the permission of a Cat Action Trust 1977 representative. Please bear this in mind when contacting us.

We ask for a minimum donation per animal. This amount will be discussed at the first contact with Cat Action Trust 1977, and is payable in full on collection of the cat/s or kitten/s This amount is to help to cover some of the costs we have spent on the animal.

******COVID-19 UPDATE  Dec 2021******
Please note that most home checks and meeting of cats/kittens is currently being done using video calls.  We are only doing "in person" visits in exceptional circumstances.  If you do adopt, we are doing "homing drop offs", all in line with the current government guidelines.

THANK YOU!
