Re: Cat mate flap problems
Thanks for all the suggestions folks! Cheapest option was a check over at the vet. Turns out our little Vinnie was trying to go incognito! Off the grid! No microchip detected, God only knows where it is in him/on him/around the house, who knows?! But at least the expensive cat flap doesn't need repl...

Cat mate flap problems
Hi
Does anyone else have a cat mate cat flap? The model I have is elite and I should be able to program multiple cats to use it. It's activated by their micro chips. Only problem is it won't pick up on my 2nd cat! Has anyone had a similar problem?

Re: Kitten Pooping - Michevious!!!
Thanks for all the great tips! The problem we have with our couch is that is on raised feet so blocking it off fromt he sides, kittens can still crawl underneath - little rascals! I have put tin foil down underneath the couch so as soon as I hear it rustling I am pulling the couch out and grabbing t...

Kitten Pooping - Michevious!!!
Hi all! I got 2 adorable little kittens but one is a real mischief maker. They are 11 weeks old and as soon as I got them home, I kept checking they were using the litter tray and they both were. I was really pleased cos they are soooo teeny but were still managing to hop in and out of the tray. Tro...

Re: Long hair kitten
Hi All, Sadly Rhett passed away on Sunday morning. The flu was obviously just too much for his young little body to cope with. On Staurday we had been trying to syringe feed him baby food and kitten milk to keep him going but he took a turn for the worse on Sudnay morning. We took him to the emergen...

Re: Microchipping
He's very snoozy, always cat napping...but I think that is just his personality in general! He wasn't really eating, but I am putting that down to food type at the moment cos I tried him on some bits of chicken and he was enjoying munching away at that last night! He seems to have a little cough at ...

Last night he was pretty lethargic and feeling sorry for himself and same again tonight. He hasn't eaten much and is just snoozing...is this ok? Hess anyone else experienced this?

It's not clay! It's a really weird litter, it's like blue and clear crystals! Apparently an odour control one? I've given her a few tips for toilet training. He looks so tiny in comparison to the litter tray at the moment too! He has taken to chewing the litter rather than using it as a loo!

Re: New kitten
Hi all! Thanks for the advice. I have been over to visit a few times. I had suggested softening cat food with the milk or hot water to help him eat and that seems to have helped. He is eating which is great! And he is a lively little thing, not showing any signs of being lethargic or anything like t...

New kitten - Cats Protection
Hi All! I have Cats Protection coming out for a home visit next week! Eeeek! I hope my house is assessed as fit for cats - sometimes it may not seem like it's fit for humans! Haha! I've never rescued/adopted before so I'm getting quite excited. Any pointers or tips? But...if paper work all ok, willt...

We definitely want a kitten again, rather than a mature cat. I'm slowly working on the hubby for 2 rescue kittens! We loved our purebred boy but maybe a move away from that would be good?

If it should be that I grow frail and weak And pain should keep me from my sleep, Then will you do what must be done, For this -- the last battle -- can't be won. You will be sad I understand, But don't let grief then stay your hand, For on this day, more than the rest, Your love and friendship mus...

Kittens home alone
What are everyone's thoughts on new kittens? When we got our baby boy last year, I took a week off work to stay at home with him and get him settled in. He seemed to make himself quite comfortable by the second weekend and I never worried too much about leaving him at home alone while I was out at w...

Re: New kitten after FIP in home
I spoke with our vet today who didn't seem overly concerned about having another new kitten. She said online is great for reading up on things but can also be a curse...absolutely! She doesn't see why there would be any immediate risk so I think a good deep clean and we should be ready to go. Maybe ...

Re: My baby has FIP
It's only been one week but seems a lifetime. I collected Henry's ashes today and it brought it all flooding back and I just started weeping in the vet reception area. There was a lovely dog owner who told me it gets easier when you get the ashes home. She has 6 of her babies in her sideboard, and s...

Does your cat have FIP? Do you mind me asking where you are from - UK based?
I think this poor man will have trouble getting this drug in USA as from everything I read, it seems only available in Europe.

Interferon
Hi all! Does anyone know where you can purchase interferon online or from veterinary clinics? I joined an FIP group on Facebook and there is a man in New York who is desperately looking to purchase this medicine for his recently diagnosed cat. Personally, I don't know if it would help. I read such m...

Hi - looking for some advice! Up until last week, we were a one-cat household. Our little baby was put to sleep last week after contracting FIP and deteriorating pretty quickly! Hubby was asking about it before me. henry was his first pet and I think he is just lost without him now! He keeps going out when it's just him in the house, I don't think he likes not having a wee moggie around! We have a holiday booked in November but I would pick a cat up on the way home fromt eh...
