Re: Are they just playing?

My two do this too - usually one instigates it by jumping on the other, or bats her with a paw then it results in them both tearing around the room chasing each other before wrestling on the ground. Occasionally one will meow when it gets a bit too rough, but before long they're cuddled up with each...

Re: Which food do you use?

Mine get a mixture of wet food (Felix AGAIL, Applaws, Lilys Kitchen, Sheba) so they don't get bored, and usually a bit of James Wellbeloved or Applaws dry food for them to snack on during the day when I'm out at work. It took a bit of trial and error to find which foods they liked, and even now they...

Re: Cat grass

My two (indoor) cats both enjoy it - I occasionally get the packs that Pets at Home sell as a treat, and it doesn't take long for the shoots to appear. I did worry that it would encourage them to eat other plants, but they started doing that anyway

Re: Anyone ordered from Zoofast?

I've not heard of them before, but it seems to be legit. It is a Polish company hence some of the dodgy translations on their website!

Re: Thinking of getting a kitten from a cat rescue centre

If the RSPCA won't let you adopt because you don't have a cat flap, there will be other rescue centres that won't have the same condition. I had a similar problem when I adopted my two, as I live in a flat and some centres won't allow cats to go to an indoor only home. However I found one who didn't...

Re: Anyone got a Pet Safe Avalon fountain?

Sarie, that's a shame - I guess the stainless one doesn't have the weight of the ceramic to stop the vibrations. Very occasionally the top part gets dislodged slightly and starts to make a noise, but once you push it back it's silent again. The only problem I've had is that if the top section gets b...

Re: Say hello to Magic!

That is Smoggy - the cheekiest of two black cats my girlfriend and I adopted just over 2 years ago. They were both abandoned too, at around 4 months old. I still can't understand why anyone would do such a thing, but in a way I'm glad they did as I couldn't imagine not having both of them around now.

Re: Trust

Have you tried leaving the carrier in the same room as him for a few days so he gets used to it, and also placing a blanket he has laid on inside, so he is familiar with the scent when he gets near it?

Special Offer on Felix As Good as it Looks at Waitrose

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I noticed today that Waitrose currently have a deal for 3 for £10 for Felix As Good as it Looks, plus a 20% discount if you have a myWaitrose card. I bought 6 boxes today, for less than £15 (I think they take the 20% off the original price), whic...

Re: Petsitters ???

My mother actually works as a pet sitter sometimes through an agency, and when I was looking to book one earlier this year her advice was to find one where the sitters have been DBS (disclosure and barring service) checked (this replaced the CRB checks), and are also insured. Any reputable sitter wi...

Re: Anyone got a Pet Safe Avalon fountain?

If you're rummaging around for ideas though one thing I would say is AVOID this one. Do not buy it, ever. That's odd, as I've had the black ceramic version of the same fountain for the last 2 years, and I've been really happy with it. Maybe yours was faulty in some way? The only issue I've had is t...

Re: Odd Bathroom Behaviour

One of my two does this as well, although only for pooping. She is happy to urinate in the tray, but for some reason, she will almost always poop in the bath. Very occasionally I've caught her in the bath, and have put her in the tray, which she then uses (reluctantly). I've tried a number of things...
