Re: Obsessive carpet pulling following loss of litter mate

Obsessive carpet pulling following loss of litter mate

Hi all, some of you may have read on the bereavement page I lost one of my young cats nearly a month a go to a car accident. Since then, his brother George has begun ripping up the carpet on our stairs. It is mostly in the middle of the night or when we are out at work. He was very close with his br...

Re: Socs

It will get better I promise. It’s really hard, really really hard. Nothing can prepare you for what you went through and there are many people on here who know exactly how you feel. I’m so sorry you lost your baby but you gave everything she could have dreamed of and more. Cats have a big impact on...

Re: Feeling Broken

Thanks ladies, I have bought a feliway diffuser to hopefully help reassure him. He is certainly missing his bro, they were inseparable and were certainly play mates. Hurtling round the house/garden! The problem with the stairs is that it’s in the middle of the night so we give our best ‘GEORGE NO’ a...

Re: Feeling Broken

Hey Lilith we find it easy, with personality and small differences in body shape and size :D , to others they have no idea! Although as you can imagine, the night Greg was hit we didn't know who it was until we had rounded the other three up in the house. we grieved all of them before we realised it...

Re: Feeling Broken

Thank you again ladies, it’s so nice to talk to people who understand, I’m always a bit apprehensive when telling non cat lovers how I feel but this forum is so welcoming and understanding. So I can’t thank you enough. You have definitely helped the initial healing process. I finally worked out how ...

Re: Feeling Broken

Still trying to work out how to re size my photos, i will try and do it at the weekend. I took a lovely one the other day. I had been longing for it to rain all week, to wash away the blood where Greg got hit. On wednesday, a week after he passed it did just that. A rainbow formed and went down in t...

Re: Feeling Broken

Thank you Bobbys Girls and Ruth. Your messages mean so much to me. I can't help but kick myself for not teaching them to be more wary of the Road, Greg had no fear, he'd try and take on passing dogs, he chased my neighbours hose if she was watering the garden, he use to catch pigeons, take on the bi...

Hello all, I’m not really sure where to start. I’m completely lost and I remembered catchat has helped me before. On Wednesday evening I lost my little shadow, partner in crime, cuddle buddy and baby of the house Greg. He was hit by a car right outside my house. I can’t stop playing the events over ...

Re: Lost Black Cat - Billericay,Essex (Found)

Tonight we found him, he had been in a nearby neighbours garage. Our neighbour had contacted us last week having received the flyer to say that there was something going on in her garage but she couldn't find the culprit. We even went in there last week and couldn't find anything. She then rang toni...

hi all,

only just got a chance to catch up on the responses - so fresh soil is a cats toilet dream, netting, raised planters, pigeons, slugs, seedlings and wash harvested veg in case there is cat piddle or any nastys.. Got it!

wow thanks Lilith, very informative! ah yes fresh soil, I must keep an eye on it. ... That wasn't the end of it.

In total last night we had three sausage halves and this morning we had one more.

I am a little confused as to where he is getting them from as our bins were collected yesterday. :?

He is getting a right porky belly as well!

Re: We Have a Bin Thief..

ahh so it seems its not so uncommon to have a serial bin thief!

Sausages off a Neighbours BBQ and Roast chicken straight from the kitchen table?! wow, Brave Cats!

So I guess I will have to just let him get on with it then, he is so proud of himself when he comes in licking his lips!

It first happened a few weeks ago on our bin night in which he came home with a guey substance matted in his whiskers, i wiped it off and locked the...

6 Month Old with diarrhoea

Hi all, I know there are a couple of threads linked to Diarrhoea in cats and I have taken the advice from them on board however, I have two boys Edgar and Clarence who have become fully fledged Cat flap users for about two weeks. Re: 3 month old kitten keeps weeing on the bed

I do keep the litter tray clean, as I know if it was me I wouldn't want to use a dirty tray. I will definitely think about getting another one, i just need to find a suitable location. I do try to be as cautious as i can with them in the bedroom first thing in the morning if i haven't had a chance t...
