Re: Pituitary gland (kitten dwarfism)

Could it just be a byproduct (that sounded awful...!!) of interbreeding?? A feral colony doesn't know anything about genetics etc so dad mated with daughter etc and goodness knows what the results are...hopefully it's not brain damaged...no different to humans I suppose. That's why we have laws agai...

Re: Help - cat climbing on TV

I expect cats get on things like tv's as they are warm....It's surprising how much heat these flat screen tv's give out..!! Ours is attached firmly to the wall..but if you walk next to it when it's been on a while..it's like a radiator on full blast.. (Usually on Create & Craft as I need some in...

Re: A dilemma with my problem cat

Have you tried anything like Zyklene which if given every day might get her to chill out ..she might (say..might..) realise that chilling is better than fighting?
Maybe worth a try to see how she reacts..it'd give you a break too..!!

Hope all goes well.

Re: Problems with cat weeing in the house

This rang such bells with me... My previous pair of Siamese..brother & sister, Abby & Bailey sprayed in the house and ruined much furniture and carpets.. as well as peeing on electrical sockets..(I'm surprised they didn't electrocute themselves..!!) they weed on the fridge, microwave etc. I ...

Re: so...Milla kinda mated but her heat cycle is still going

Joe, I seem to have missed Mila's age?..if she is quite young I don't think there should be any problems with anesthesia but like humans there is always a risk..we all have to contend with the worry. Neutering males usually controls their urge to roam, fight and spray indoors etc to define their ter...

Re: so...Milla kinda mated but her heat cycle is still going

Hello Joe I mean you no malice as I expect you bang your head against the established vet. practices but I'm curious to learn why "Eastern Europe" seem so anti neutering? I assume that everyone has loads of cats...(the unwanted kittens have to go somewhere..!!) or do they have a thriving e...

Thomas has been exemplary the last week..He's been nice and calm and the noisy neurosis in the mornings seems to have disappeared..Mouse is more laid back too...not that I want two comatosed cats you understand but the constant mieowing was getting to be an ear ache..(We've had Siamese for 30 years ...

Bother, we've had a relapse...... Thomas has wee'd on the front door mat and at the bottom of the stairs... Not as much wee as previous so I suppose that's something..Have ordered some Kylkene (?) Re: Oh dear trouble with Thomas alas....

Took Thomas to see Rosy the vet last night. She thinks his problem is good old FIC. He had the contents of 2 capsules in his food last...

Re: Oh dear trouble with Thomas alas....

Just thought...They poo OK in the tray every morning..I'd have thought that operation was more fraught than peeing in the tray which they both do do.It's the random nature of peeing indoors that's difficult to fathom out. It's almost like a defiant thing?

The funny thing is that Mouse sprays in the garden and Thomas squats and pees in the house..When they are in the garden I think Mouse will turn inside out as he pees so much...It's never ending...!! Just a thought...
Have you tried "puppy pads" they have a mild attractant which encourages peeing on the pad...you could try putting one where the litter tray is...they aren't called "training pads" for nothing..worth a try?

I'm always surprised that stores don't twig that they are left with items....so don't order so much of that one and more of what sells...I'd have thought it was common sense.. Mind you M & S sales are full of size 8 & 10's....why don't they understand stock control? Order more large sizes as...

Re: Where to buy? Help with advice.

Sorry to be negative but why would you want to give your cat calcium tablets...a balanced diet should give him/her all their daily requirements... Like a lot of human dietary suppliments if your body doesn't need them they are excreated...(so waste of money.) and some additives build up in the body ...
