Re: Neighbours neglect/abuse animals
That is a tricky situation. It would be worth talking to one of your local rescue organisations, or your nearest Cats Protection branch for advice before reporting this to the RSPCA, to explain the situation and get their advice. Maybe one of them could be on standby to take the cats in if the RSPCA...

Re: FIV POSITIVE CAT VOMITING
Hi Chloe, Having had several FIV positive cats, I think this is very unlikely to be related to his FIV status. I agree with Angela's advice as it could be that he is just eating too quickly. Or, maybe just eating too much at once, and so it doesn't stay down for long. You could try giving smaller me...

Re: Eating Mice
Just one thought to add here - you may already do this, but it would be a good idea to keep your cat indoors at night. That should reduce the number of mice your cat catches, but also it lowers the chances of cats getting into danger themselves. If he's not used to being kept in at night, it may tak...

Re: Time for a new start...
Well since you have started a list of possibilities... another option might be to go along to one of your local rehoming centres, and see who picks you! It's quite usual for that to happen, then you would put the outcome in the hands of fate - or, should that be in the ' paws ' of fate. It might be ...

Re: Time for a new start...
Hi Julie, I, and most of the people who post here will know exactly how you feel and what you are going through. Your lovely old puss will always be with you in your heart, they never fully leave us! When I've had to say goodbye to a beloved cat (which I have done many times), the way I look at it, ...

Re: need help getting rid of cat urine
When we had a bit of a spray problem a couple of months ago I discovered a product called Simple Solution, (which you can get on amazon or the usual pet supplies websites), and have found it brilliant for stain removal and particularly for smell removal! They do one for soft furnishings and one for ...

Good News! US study on FIV+ and FIV- living safely together
Most of us on this forum already know that FIV positive and negative cats can live happily and healthily together, when neutered and living harmoniously in a normal household, so it's good to hear that this message is finally getting through in veterinary circles… this from the US… Good news for FIV...

Re: relocating cat
Hi Spence, In addition to Meriad's advice, you might want to check out the advice pages below - although these are aimed at cats being brought into a home situation, the same broad principles will apply. If there is an office or small room at the new premises, that you could use to start your cat of...

Re: Found cat New Oscott, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands
Hi Pippa, Well done caring for this cat so far. Have a look at the 'found a cat' advice here: http://www.catchat.org/lost.html#found" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and make sure you contact local rescue centres, vets and Petlog to notify them, and so that they can check if ...

Re: eye drops semi feral
Hi Sooty, Had a similar thing a few years ago with semi-feral/nervous cat, where we had to give ear drops. The best way we found was to put him up on a table and sort of 'flatten' him (gently but firmly) down onto his tummy. Then one of us would hold him flat, while the other administered the drops....
