Re: Issues surrounding losing a cat.

Hi there Weirdly I want to start this post by saying I never wanted a cat. Always loved them, but never thought of owning one. Took less than 10 seconds for me to fall in love with our wonderful Giggsy. I never knew how loving and loyal cats could be. We ate at the same times, he slept in bed with u...

Re: Our Boy

This is our first bonfire without Giggsy. I sat his picture and frame with his ashes near us on the sofa last night and kept telling him "it's outside Giggsy" when fireworks were going off, just like I always had to when he was alive. They never leave our hearts or thoughts. Take care all ...

Re: Greebo (aka Fred) ... wherever the spirits of loving cat

Hi there It’s taken me a few days to get around to writing on this post about Greebo. I’ve felt both happiness and sadness in reading this more than once. So sorry to hear your sad news. Your tribute is a really nice one. It’s great that he found you and such a loving home, and I love hearing how he...

Re: Charlie

So sorry to hear about Charlie.

You referred to him as the boss, he’ll be smiling down at you for that and is a clear sign that you loved him. And you were there for him at the end and made the hardest decision any cat owner will ever make, you ended his suffering.

Take care x

Re: Why does it not get easier

Hi Sorry to hear about Zac, he sounds a lot like my Giggsy and clearly had a happy spoilt life. For me it’s hard to explain, but to think about the loss of your little feline friend does not get any easier, but over time dealing with that loss does. I hope this makes sense. We lost our Giggsy in Apr...

Re: How do we cope?

Hi Hannah This site is amazing you’re right. It helped me when we lost Giggsy and gave me the drive to post the odd thing and try to help others through their sadness. Well done you on fostering and giving two very lucky cats a chance. Helping these cats is brilliant. We often think about doing the ...

Re: Lost without you Miss Coco

Hi Tracy I’m so sorry to hear about Miss Coco, what sad and horrible news. I won’t type what I think about the callous driver that left without any thought. This is a great site to talk to people about your grief, it helped me so much when we lost Giggsy, the people on here are amazing. We lost our ...

Re: Did i do the right thing?

Hi there I’m so sorry to hear about Puzzle, what a cutie. Please don’t punish yourself, you made the decision that many of us have to make, one that any loving and responsible cat owner should take. It hurts and any decent person will have the same thoughts you have shared on here. I still think abo...

Re: My beautiful cat was run over and killed on Friday

Hi there I’m so sorry to read about Leo’s accident, what a lovely bundle of fur he was. Sounds like he was a great little character and enjoyed having so much love in his life. We lost our Giggsy just over 2 months ago and I still don’t think I’m right in myself. Someone on here told me that you can...

Re: Is this normal?

Hi Hannah Here's the link for the picture frame we have for Giggsy - http://www.pcsonline.org.uk/tribute-frames" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. You could put his whiskers in the back and maybe some other little things that remind you of him. As I've mentioned in my own post...

Re: Is this normal?

Hi there I'm sorry to hear what you have gone through, what a great and caring fella Jasper was. The advice from the other guys is right, celebrating and remembering Jasper is the right thing to do. When we lost our Giggsy we made sure we did exactly that. A canvas is a great idea, we have one that’...

Re: Our lovely Giggsy

Hi again Thank you to those that have read my first post and to those that have taken the time to respond. It proves my theory right; that cat people are the best. I'm getting there with the grieving. Giggsy was the first pet I ever had, he was a special little guy. We were lucky to have him in our ...

Our lovely Giggsy

Hi there I've never used this sort of thing of before and was overwhelmed with the great support and kind people that are out there. We said goodbye to our beautiful cat Giggsy (named after my wife's favourite footballer) 4 weeks ago. He had inoperable Lymphoma and we had to have him put to sleep. I...
