Feeding them Agail and royal cannin. Have stopped letting them eat the GAIL at night and just have the RC. No smells since. I have recieved the classic litter but not tried it yet. Good ides about the bedroom and i was considerin it.

Thanks for the replies. Meriod, i clean the tray as soon as one of them uses it normally. The problem is usually at about 2-30 in the morning. You have done the right thing Nettie. Poor teddy would have spent his last days in fear and pain if you had put him through all the tests needed. Just giving tablets is enough To frighten most cats.
Let your other cat have a bit of grieving time for a couple of months before introducing a new cat.

Years ago, when we got a new cat or kitten we would butter it's paws with butter (margarine then ) and when the had cleaned it off they were let free. Always worked never lost one. Wouldn't do it now though, i uaually wait 2 weeks.
