I would leave the radio on that's a great idea.
Also if finances permit you could buy a webcam that connects via an app to your smartphone so u can check what he's up to in the main room he's in for peace of mind x

Feliway diffuser makes kitten squint?
I've been using a plug-in Feliway diffuser for a few weeks now but have noticed that kitten hesitates and squints every time she goes near the diffuser.
