Re: Unstable Sudden Asthma
Hi there, I have just read your story and it is so sad, however I have also read the advice on allergies. Read it first and eliminate all possible causes. It may not be your cats. If it is,do you have a garden? Could you possibly afford to get an outside pen built for them if the worst comes to the ...

Re: OVERWEIGHT CATS
Hi Kay, Dexy has just turned 9. Never was an active cat. Never goes out. The fastest I have seen him move is when I open the door and he thinks I am letting him out. He runs into the living room behind the couch. When I got him at a year old he was 8.5 kg' she. Vet said he is part wildcat as his hea...

Re: OVERWEIGHT CATS
My boy Dexy is 9kg. He has recently been having problems getting up on window ledge and sofa. He has not been up on his cat tree for couple of days as he is struggling. Is this weight related or something more I wonder? I have cut him down to small amount of biscuits 4 times a day. He does not like ...

Re: Cat trees
I got my Dexy the Natural cat tree 11 from zooplus which I think is great. I had to measure the top bed part as he is 10kg of gorgeous boy. He loves it. The base is about an inch thick which is great because when he goes on it, it does not budge. He loves on the top watching the goings on outside, w...

Re: Introduction of new kitten to older cat, am I doing it wrong?!
I wish my two had got on with just hissing. If Lily lay down in a submissive pose Dexy walked up and bit her. This was everyday for 9 weeks until the last week he kept pinning her down and hurting her. Sounds like your two cats are getting on just fine in comparison to mine. Well done.

I love a happy ending and your wee cat has settled well by the picture of her lying on the bed. I think all of the people who do what you do are amazing. As you know I had to give my wee Lily back to the lady who rescues cats and she keeps me informed on how she is. Sheena is the ladies name and she...

Awe that was a lovely bauble and the cat looks so cute in the tree. I am very lucky that my cat has never climbed the tree although he does knaw at the branches.

Re: Behavioral changes
Hi, I was in the same situation as you are in, only I gave my wee girl back to the lady I rescued her from. My own male cat is 8 years old and I got Lily who was around 18months. Dexy didn't like it as he has never had to be around other cats. He wouldn't leave her alone, kept biting her even when s...

Congrats on the new arrivals. What a beautiful cat. The kittens remind me of that film Gremlins, wee balls of fluff.

Dexy is an indoor cat. Even when I had a garden he would go as far as the washing line and when I turned to go back in the house Dexy could do the hundred meters faster than Usain Bolt.x

Re: Cat with winter blues and boredom!!
They can be hilarious with toys. I bought the bird on the rod which makes the sound of a bird flying and Dexy wrecked it in 3 days. Pair of shoelaces seem to be the only things that can withstand the playing. Got him a great cat tree because he hardly goes on the window ledge because of his width (n...

Re: Lost Friendships
Sorry to hear of you losing your gorgeous wee girl. I have been through it also. A big burly guy I worked with at the time of having to put my wee girl to sleep laughed because I paid couple of hundred pounds to get her cremated. That was hurtful. Then within a couple of weeks his wee staffy died an...

Re: Beautiful Loving Kitten looking for a home
I know how you feel. I had to let my wee cat go back to the rescue centre after 9 weeks as my resident cat kept pinning her down. She was so perfect in everyway and I miss her so much. Wasn't fair on her getting cornered and bullied all the time. I think the lady is going to rehome her in a pet free...

Re: Anyone else tried Sainsbury's grain-free?
I know everyone has probably been here b4 but my cat used 2 just eat dry food then I got another cat who ate wet food and Viola my cat now eats wet food. Thing is he only eats the jelly or gravy. So I am going 2 give him dry again with just one pouch a day. Very fussy aren't they?

Re: pet insurance?
Its a difficult one. My cat is an indoor cat and I feel the same. Hopefully the worst that would happen to him is dental treatment which is not covered by insurance. He is 8. I think most insurance is a con, that's just my opinion but its a choice we all have to make.

Re: Problems with neighbours
I agree with Meriad. Put up a 6 foot fence in your back garden if you want to, he cannot stop you if it is within your boundary. I know that the law could be different in Scotland as we are only allowed a 3 foot fence in front garden but the back is 6 feet. He is just being a nuisance not you or you...

Re: Problems with neighbours
By the way it wasn't the football getting kicked over that started our neighbour being an idiot. It was a disabled parking bay being put on the road outside my house that started all the resentment. I have a disabled child. So whether it is cats, children or whatever. The neighbour obviously has too...

So playing him at his own game did not work then. So what you are left with is just to try and not let it get you down (impossible situation). Keep us posted. Would like to hear good news, like maybe he has stopped.

Re: Problems with neighbours
Even after keeping your cats in for 10 weeks over the winter and he stills throws it in your garden he obviously doesn't like you(sorry) for saying that. What a plonker he is. I really don't understand some neighbours and I have had a few rubbish ones in my lifetime. I hope you get it sorted but if ...

Re: Problems with neighbours
I had a neighbour that was worse than that. My son would be playing out our back and if he kicked his ball over or any of his toys the man would put them in the bin rather than throw them back over after leaving them there for a few days just to upset my son even more. As for the poo I would put it ...

Thanks Liloth. I could have persevered no bother but my boy just wouldn't relax when the two of them were together. Although last night he said I still love her but Dexy is a fat bully and wont leave her alone. Poor Lily must have wondered what the screaming was all about. Bless her. I did hope Dexy...
