Hi Ruth, thanks but his insecurities aren't with humans - it's with other cats that they lie and his territory.
With us he is completely fine and is a normal playful kitten, it's anything to do with Abbie that he isn't good with

Re: Two new kittens - behaviour issues
I think what I need right now is advice on how to help a very insecure cat become more confident as a new cover as that is how I am going to introduce them when the time comes again - Abbie as the resident cat and Loki as the new comer

Re: Two new kittens - behaviour issues
This is not my first introduction thankfully, the first was really easy and I got lucky but unfortunately my ex was better able to offer them a stable home after our split than I was, but Loki's behaviour because of his past is making it incredibly difficult so I will not be risking making his insec...

Two new kittens - behaviour issues
Hi all, so this week I finally felt ready to open my home to two new kittens and was lucky enough to find two almost straight away. Abbie came first, she is a barn kitten and at 9/10 weeks she has never lived in a house before and had limited exposure to humans. She was picked up on Tuesday night an...

Temp Foster Home Needed!
My ex and I split up a few months ago and I have moved in with family to look after my mum and save money under the understanding that my ex would look after my cats, Comet and Whisky until I get my own place but he has now decided that he isn't willing to do this anymore and wants my boys gone asap...

Re: Flea and worm treatment for those with indoor cats?
But so long as the cats aren't in contact with other cats/dogs/prey I really don't see the need for putting unnecessary chemicals on them - just my point of view of course :) They aren't in contact with any other pets apart from our surviving Gerbil, Whisky was always fine with the treatments but C...

Flea and worm treatment for those with indoor cats?
for those of you with indoor cats, do you feel the need to keep up with monthly flea treatments and 3 monthly worming treatments? For the past 9 months or so we haven't kept up with this for Comet and Whisky because it has seemed pointless, we living in a flat with no garden etc and they are indoor ...

Re: Boys have became fussy
I've put a tonne of premium wet food in my shopping cart and gonna buy it later, got some encore tins from the shops and I've mixed half a tin with a full natures menu turkey and chicken pouch for both of them about 10 minutes ago and they scoffed it down, thank god! So until the new stuff arrives, ...

Boys have became fussy
So the Mr thought that introducing Comet and Whisky to Acana dry food would be a good idea (for who I don't know, he knows how I feel about dry food) anyway, they were on that about a month and the whole time refused to eat their wet food, when the dry ran out I refused to buy any more. With steely ...

Re: Which food do you use?
My two get fed Natures Menu adult pouches. They did get Acana dry for a few months just before xmas as my partner wanted to try them on some dry food (I refuse to buy dry food for them) they enjoyed it but they are the sort of boys that would enjoy any food that was given to them!

As long as their 'fights' are silent then they are more than likely play. Just do it, you are going to need to at some point and the longer you wait, the harder it'll get

Re: My baby has FIP
I have no experience with FIP myself but I have read that cats can live with it and it doesn't have to be a death sentence. I know it is hard but as you said, Henry does seem to be improving. Let me go find the article I read about it...(its around here somewhere...) Here is a forum dedicated to own...

Re: Encouraging progress attributed to cereal free food
Lily's Kitchen do a dry cereal free food available at Tesco (chicken or fish flavour) plus their own version which is harder to track down, this is complete and not to be confused with the treats. There's also a brand called Canagan which is dry and cereal free :) Remember that the LK in tescos is ...
