They are definitely fertiliser pellets (or at least it was definitely fertiliser pellets that were put on the soil and I can't think what else could have popped up, the turf only having been laid on Wednesday.) They are white.

Fertiliser pellets
I had new turf laid in my garden this week. Fertiliser pellets were put in the soil before the turf was laid. The pellets. have now surfaced on the grass, which I assume is normal. Would I be right in assuming these pellets would be toxic to my cat? I don't have the fertiliser packaging, unfortunate...
