Re: Warm loving home

Hi Madhu. Have you tried Cats Protection in regard to these cats? Just asking because they now have a homing centre in Tudor Road. I know there is always huge competition for places in rescue, but it's possible they might be able to help. Good luck.

Re: SUDDEN UNEXPECTED DEATH OF ELDERLY CAT

It has been eight weeks since my cat died. The morning after he was put to sleep, I packed away his place mat and his microchip operated feeder. I was thinking the other day that I ought to take the batteries out of the feeder now that it isn't being used as I don't want the batteries going dead and...

Re: SUDDEN UNEXPECTED DEATH OF ELDERLY CAT

Thank you JulieJulie for your support. My heart goes out to you for your loss. I have now lost three cats in the last five years, and with the previous two cats I was fortunate enough to be able to have the vet visit us at home for them to be put to sleep. Like you, this time it was completely out o...

Re: SUDDEN UNEXPECTED DEATH OF ELDERLY CAT

Thank you Mollycat for posting your comments and relaying your story. It sounds like an awful experience discovering your darling Henry so unwell and then having to have him PTS, and especially having to contend with such a lack of empathy from the vet. That was abysmal. I'd say you far from failed ...

Re: SUDDEN UNEXPECTED DEATH OF ELDERLY CAT

Thank you so much for posting Amerifier and thank you for your condolences and understanding. You are right, our cats are dearly loved members of the family and their loss is never borne easily. I can only imagine what it must have felt like to come home to find your beloved Feadan dead and Midnight...

SUDDEN UNEXPECTED DEATH OF ELDERLY CAT

I need to share this with someone as I have no-one to really talk to. My gorgeous, full of beans, active 18 year old cat was put to sleep on Monday night completely unexpectedly. He was right as rain, with no outward problems that I could detect and was behaving totally normally. He had been eating ...

Re: Losing another cat so soon

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and advice. My little old lady seems to have perked up remarkably since Friday afternoon, so much so that she was up asking for breakfast this morning after days of me desperately trying and failing to get her to eat anything more than a few Dreamies! She even ju...

Losing another cat so soon

Hello all Well here I am again, feeling desperately sad because my darling little cat has cancer and all that is left for her is palliative care. This comes after I had my 17 year old boy PTS at the end of August. I've only had my little old lady for eight months (she is nearly 17) but, as they all ...

Re: Help Desperately Needed

Hi Bryan This is a dreadful situation for you, facing the prospect of having to have your beloved Ruby PTS in such awful circumstances. My heart goes out to you. I agree with Crewella's advice - just keep bashing away at the charities, you might speak to a different person every time, and definitely...
