In my opinion, if you don't know what to do, you'd better spent some hundreds in a cat dermathologist.
If its getting worse you need to stop it as soon as possible.
If you think logically its the right thing to do to make sure of what is really causing that.
Best luck with your angel.

Re: Introducing new kittens
Thanx...
You'll see, in no time they will become best friends... they all do, more or less. Keep in mind that cats have different personalities, just like people, and it will take time for them to know each other.
Best luck to you and your cats, hope they get along as soon as possible.

Re: Introducing new kittens
I think in a few days everything is going to be ok. It's normal for that to happen. It did happen with both our cats. 3 days later the hissing kind of stopped. The resident cat hissed a lot to newcomer but never attacked. I believe that is what to look for. If he hissed but ran away, just didn't wan...

Try to google for cat psoriasis in images and see if any is corresponding to your cat.

That's really weird!! Have no idea... have you tried different doctors?
Actually it sounds like cat psoriasis, but not sure... i believe it looks like it due to symptoms.

Re: I need some help with a few things...
Do you play with your cat with wand toys or strings or something to interact with? I'm not saying throwing toys and let him play. Altough they are playful animals they get bored sometimes. Perhaps he wants something new to play. Have you tried hair ties? They are so so good toys for them. My advice ...

Re: Pulling stairs instead of cat scratcher
I have to admit that very few of the scratching posts I have seen are suitable for an adult cat unless they are part of a big cat tree, the cat just pulls them over. The best I have found are the cardboard box sratchers, or a board that is screwed firmly into the wall. Unfortunately while mine do u...

Re: Kitten with aggression problems
You have a badass cat  Well my cat, ''blacky'' was just the same. He came home when he was 1 month old and let me tell you... we had a living devil inside. It was tough. He played for hours and wanted more and more. I played with different toys but also with hands, which is something you should...

Re: Help with cat peeing indoors
Don't worry about him going outside, it will take time for a cat to adjust to new environment. Every cat loves to go outside. One of ny cats loves to go outside the other not so much... at least that's what i thought... he didn't like to go outside with a leash and he was a bit affraid in the beginn...

Re: Help with cat peeing indoors
You should have at least one indoor litterbox. At least give it a try. My cat broke both back legs and when came home we tried to put another tray with different litter because he couldn't move much... poor dear. He didn't do a bit. He was used to do in ''his'' litterbox with his litter... and so, o...

If he is in a new environment for him, i think he might be marking is new territory.
Cats ate very clean animals, they wont pee here or there just because...
How old is he?
Is he spayed?
Have you tried different litter? My cats are very weird about that...

Are the scrathing poles near the spot where he does that. Sometimes we have to re educate them. There are also some cardboard scratchers wich fit much betters in those spots to cover them. On other hand you should try something they don't like at all. The smell of vinegar or citrus. Try to spray tha...

Re: Stopping re-directed agression
How old is your cat? I believe your cat is frustraded by seeing preys and wants to play or attack. How often do you play with your cat? Really play, i mean? Make him chase something with feathers for instance. Cats have lot of energy and wide awake at night, that's when they hunt, they are predators...

Re: Help with cat peeing indoors
Try to buy urine off, it helped for me and my cat. Also try to put a litter box near that place. Cats are territorial animals and could possibly be the case. My cat was peeing in all divisions including carpets, walls, curtains, kitchen walls etc. We bought urineoff spray and it was a surprise. Firs...

Went to the vet to change bandage and doctors said he was doing fine. They were impressed with Blue as they didn't have to sedate him to do their work. He is such a lovely cat. 1 week away :D , 4 more to go :( He purred a bit today and went to sleep making my arm his pillow. I just love this cat.

Re: Sudden Agression
You should take her to the vet. Maybe she is in pain or something is wrong with her. Use a blanket to cover her face and help you to put her in carrier. Usually that looks like a defense mechanism they have when something is wrong. Have you noticed anything strange nearby? Or in her routine. Differe...

Re: Cat standing by wall, box, etc. staring like in a daze (Also on chemo and steroids)
Try to have her attention... when you pet her and she's back to it again try to play with some toys... just to make sure she responds to it. I'm not a doctor but if she didn't have those issues before meds... i still believe meds are cause for it. Is there any other meds she can take without those s...

Re: Cat standing by wall, box, etc. staring like in a daze (Also on chemo and steroids)
Hmmm.
Have you discussed with different doctor?
If you start noticing this behaviour after increasing meds, it's logical to think that its because the meds. Have you tried to pet the cat while that daze happens... or tried anything else to draw attention? Maybe with toys or snacks?

I'm so sorry to hear what happened to your boy, but your vet is right in that it's better for him to be quiet whilst he heals so, hard as it is to see him like this, it does mean he should heal well. Poor boy has been through a lot, it's not surprising that he's subdued. Give him a gentle fuss from...

Staring ar cats eyes is considered by them hostile movement. I look into my cats eyes for 3 to 4 seconds and they look other way. Normally they dilate pupils when they will engage or they are apprehensive.

He fell from the balcony. I live on 1st floor. Its very stupid because its a 1st floor. There was a kitten in the vet that fell from a 3rd floor and she only had a minor fracture on front leg. Re: Do all younger cats play?
I guess your cat spent time with kids that probably teased him or did somethig to harm him... Cats don't attack unless they are threatened. Six weeks its too soon and with time your cat will get more attached to your family. All you got to do is read your cat. To know when he wants his space, affect...

How long do you have him? Cats with 2 year old are teenagers, so i believe they enjoy much playing. Have you tried differents toys? I have 2 cats and they are very different with playing with toys. I feel like I'm always posting on here these days!!! Our kittens seem to eat weirdly and I don't know how weird it is so I don't know whether we need to take them to the vet. Dylan is the weirdest - he has cooked chicken for dinner every night and it takes him, like 30 minutes to eat a small bowl o...

Cat behaviour
Hello there. I have 2 cats, ''blue'' and ''blacky'' and blue fell and broke both back legs. Went to surgery on monday and came home on tuesday. Basically on first day he didn't move much and barely ate and didn't use the litter box. He purred a lot when we pet him. When we go to sleep, we put him in...
