I wouldn't rule out feline acne i had almost the same issue with my cat about a year ago and the vet diagnosed my cat with feline acne. The best way to find out is to have your cat checked by the vet.

Cats can be interesting sometimes, whatever you cat is doing is controlled by previous relationships with previous owners. But give her enough time to build a relationship with your hubby, they do take time to be comfortable around some people that's what she needs.

I would advise you to stick to the diet plan as instructed by the vet and dont be tempted to feed your cat more than what is prescribed by the vet. He will gradually warm up to the strict meal plan and be on his way toa healthy weight loss journey.

I would advise you to keep them separated at first to allow you enough space to determine when and how you can introduce them to each other.

Its probably part of the growing process, you need to get her enough toys so that she can let off some of the extra energy while playing.
