Catnip mice.

Hi I bought a couple of catnip mice for my cat Tom, a couple of weeks ago. The lady who I bought them from is retiring from her animal accessory business and was having a bit of a sale, so I bought a few more of these mice with the intention of sending them to cat rescue or individual who rescues ca...

Re: Anxious Cat.

Thanks for your replies Mollycat. They have been very helpful. I must admit up until we had Tom I wasn't really a cat person, but now I am. I have learnt to much about cats since we first had him. He was very nervous and stressed when we first had him. Cat Chat and friends who were more experienced ...

Re: Anxious Cat.

Thanks Molly. In the last 48 hours he seems to be a lot better and more settled. Don't feel very stressed but am naturally worried about the current situation. Am cleaning more but only with gentle unscented products and keeping the place well ventilated. As you say things are very quite at the mome...

Anxious Cat.

Hi This is seems very petty in the face of what's happening throughout the country, but this is really bothering me. My male, neutered cat - Tom (aged 6) has become very anxious and clingy over the last two to three weeks. Wants loads of attention, day and night. Not eating much, when I put food dow...

Beef cat food.

My cat Tom, enjoys Felix wet cat food, however he will not eat any with beef. I have spoken to others who have cats (about 6 people) who say that their cats don't like beef in any other cat foods besides Felix. Is this a common thing with cats not liking beef?

Re: My cat has become clinging.

We're taking him to the vets on Monday for his boosters, so shall ask the vet then. They are very good and always give a thorough check up, so hopefully they may have some advice and shed any light on any health problems.

Re: My cat has become clinging.

He does go out for short bursts and has a cat flap that is responsive to his chip only, we do live near fields so maybe he may have come into contact with a fox, but foxes were spotted around our old house. He was two years old, when we had him and was previously abandoned, so am wondering if someth...

My cat has become clinging.

Hi We moved from a house with a big garden last October, to a bungalow with a smaller garden. We bought a Feliaway adapter, let Tom out gradually and he seemed to settle in ok. There are a couple of cats in the house behind us, they don't come into our garden as far as we know. Tom has seemed ok unt...

Re: Pet Insurance

I am looking at pet insurance for my cat, Tom. Have got some leaflets from M&S, John Lewis and Sainsburys can't say if they are cheaper as haven't gone through them yet. I think the co op and ASDA do pet insurance too.

Garden plants that provide shade.

Hi We moved last year to a small bungalow and it has a smallish back garden. It's mainly flint, but with bits for plants. I am looking for suggestions, on something that will bush out and provide shelter and shade for my cat. Obviously need something to be cat friendly have got lavender in, and welc...

Re: Neglected cat.

This is a follow up, to my first post. We bought a small kennel for the cat and put some blankets in, the cat seemed settled and we felt that we weren't treading on the neighbours toes over the cat. Anyway, one day my husband picked her up and said that he thought he felt a lump in her stomach, I we...

Re: Neglected cat.

I live in Leicester, Crewella. We've made a bed for him in the porch, not an ideal situation, but better for the little lad than sleeping on their concrete car port. It is so sad as he is a lovely little cat. He was very thin and his coat was in poor condition, then we started feeding him and he has...

Neglected cat.

I hope this is allowed. I am very worried about my neighbours cat. It is a largish family, they have a dog and a cat. They never seem to let the cat in and it was going from house to house trying to get in and begging for food. Feeling sorry for it we gave it some food and it has now taken up reside...
