Re: I’m facing an unusual problem – Need advice
Cucumbers? As in that video of cats and cucumbers? I never could understand why the cats freaked at the sight of a cucumber, and thought it might be a hoax, but then I realised that the cat might think it was a snake; they'll often freak at the sight of a belt lying on the floor for the same reason...

Re: I’m facing an unusual problem – Need advice
Biological washing detergent is very good for breaking down the odours in cat pee. Removing the scent does help to break the cycle so they don't keep trying to 'top up' what they left last time, then when you've removed traces of previous spraying you could try some of the deterrents mentioned. Goo...

Re: I’m facing an unusual problem – Need advice
Hey Soumensam, I'm just wondering if something like orange or lemon peel or even a couple of oranges or lemons chopped into lumps and strewn around the bike, might not be a good deterrent? it might look a bit strange of course, and if there are any rules about litter you wouldn't be able to do this...

Re: I’m facing an unusual problem – Need advice
Good luck with that. I know what you mean - I never catch mine actually peeing on the hob (well, the ironically named 'splash-back' ) and I must admit I have threatened, that if I do catch them, (whoever it is) I'll stick a cork up their bottom! They don't seem at all bothered. Ha ha h...

Re: I’m facing an unusual problem – Need advice
Yes, stinky AND corrosive! I used to have a room spray - not a big fan of them - but this was orange and clove. I used to spray the poor old microwave with it to stop Purdy from peeing on it (long story) but it worked very well and was not very 'girly'. Rosemary oil works too and is not at all girl...

Re: I’m facing an unusual problem – Need advice
Yuck! Cat wee stinks! You have my sympathies. I second others' comments but would like to add - cats generally avoid citrus smells. There is a disinfectant that you can buy, safe to cats when diluted, called Zoflora, and there used to be a citrus version; hopefully there still is. It comes in a tin...

Re: I’m facing an unusual problem – Need advice
If you google "cat repellent," you'll find a lot of products designed to keep cats out of gardens - sprays, granules to scatter, ultrasound generators etc. Browse those and see what might suit your situation. Another, more expensive, option might be a "folding bike shelter," som...

Re: I’m facing an unusual problem – Need advice
Cat pee and spray isn't anything to laugh about, it's unpleasant, unhygienic and can be quite destructive in large quantities, I have cats and I wouldn't want them spraying or peeing where they weren't meant to either. In areas where there are multiple cats around, normally in gardens and the like,...

I’m facing an unusual problem – Need advice
Hi all, No where I thought to ask this issue but probably here I may get any help. I'm not a cat lover but I love animals. My issue is little different. I got a new superbike few months back and since then cats around my home are peeing on my bike every day. They are not our pets and there have seve...
