Re: Fish or meat.....does it matter?

Dimitri has tried Bozita chicken, duck, minced beef and tuna flavours with Thrive biscuits and didn't seem to prefer one over the other. He is currently munching his way through Purizon biscuits, Thrive and Cosma Nature wet foods ( both are multi packs of different flavours ). He's not a fussy eater...

Re: Cut on pad

I'm not sure how it happened. It doesn't look too serious but it's obviously sore as he cries pitifully when its bathed and assumes a woeful expression. He gets a treat afterwards which makes him forget all about it in an instant  We've made some progress with the buns - I hope. I've yelled and...

Cut on pad

Dimitri has a small cut on his front paw pad ( not sure how he did it ). I have bathed it with warm salt water. Can I put cream on it and if so which cream could I use please?

Re: Not sure what to do

 I have 20 something years of experience with aggressive rabbits . Rabbit behavioural problems can be resolved and in many cases its the rabbit owner who is the problem not the rabbit. Aggressive cat is a whole different ball game.

Re: Not sure what to do

Thanks for the replies. There was another incident yesterday when he swiped at Rubi as she was playing in her tunnel. He didn't hurt her. I yelled and hissed at him and he hid behind the bed. He then came out and sat looking at the rabbits but not in a hunting stance. I had an idea then that if I ca...

Re: Cat won't let us sleep!

I am also very new to cats and have been doing some research on them. Our cat sleeps with us but he is quiet all night. Maybe a small meal before bedtime might help - I split my cat's meals into 2 - 3 small portions. Also, playing with a cat helps to drain off excess energy. Cats like routine so if ...

Not sure what to do

As some of you may know we rescued a cat from a bad situation in Greece and brought him to live on Anglesey. He has on going health problems with his ears and teeth. Yesterday he had two teeth removed and whilst he was unconscious the vet had a look into his ears. He is very pleased with his ears ( ...

Re: Eye contact

Thanks for the reoly :D . I have tried the slow blinking but he won't blink back. He has a habit of yawning in my face sometimes if he is sleeping and I have to wake him. I thought that was just a reaction to being woken up but then read it can signify serious annoyance or aggression  . He is...

Re: Eye contact

Also forgot to add that he will not play with toys. I have bought him a number of different types of toy ranging from catnip filled toys to various balls to feathers on a pole type toy. He is not interested in any of them. I bought him a cat tunnel which he ignores and the rabbits love  . I rea...

Eye contact

One of the things I have noticed with Dimitris is that he will not make eye contact with me. He will look at me if he is wanting food but the rest of the time he will will look to the side or down at the ground, anywhere but at me. I am mystified as to why he does this. He is not scared and appears ...

Re: Cat Pee Question

Eventually found a small patch on the granite worktop :o . The house still smells very unpleasant, despite cleaning and opening windows. We used vinegar/water solution. I will look online for a specific cleaner. I didn't think he was stressed,he seems quite chilled. Always sprawled in a heap asleep ...

Cat Pee Question

As some of you may know we brought home a cat from Greece. I have a question and hope someone will be able to advise me. We have noticed a very unpleasant aroma of cat pee. Today I noticed it in the kitchen. There is no evidence to be found anywhere, which is the really strange thing. The kitchen is...

Re: New to Cats - Advice Needed

Thanks for the replies :D Lots of really helpful advice. I realise I have a lot to learn about cats. . As mentioned I have no experience with cats other than the negative side. I've always imagined cats to be disdainful and remote, so I've never understood why people would want them as pets. ...

New to Cats - Advice Needed

Hi :D We have recently rescued a cat. I am not really a cat person, my experiences of cats have previously been other people's pets who attack the wildlife and use my garden as a toilet. However, we both felt that to prevent the cat being put back into a bad situation after veterinary treatment it w...
