Brilliant,I will flea him monthly and worm him every 3 months...he is not the most attractive cat in the world, however he always seems very happy to see me. Update...I’ve just wormed him...i’m A 50 year old woman, walking through woodland with my torch, in the dark to feed a stray cat...bonkers. Ho...

We use stronghold...I would recommend. The downside is because my boy is 6kg, we have to apply 3 pipettes...it takes 2 of use and a large towel! :D

Worming / Fleaing Feral

Hello all, it’s been a while. My large handsome boy Oscar, is still happy, fat and spoiled...hope all your furries babies are in fine heath too. My question is regarding a feral / barn cat that I have now started to feed. There are some barns about a mile a way from me, where some people keep their ...

As someone who virtually had to re mortgage her house, just to pay for all the urine remover (!!) I would recommend Lilliths suggestion of natures miracle...it is the best.

However, you need to find out the cause or you too will be remortgaging your house...I truly feel your pain xx

Re: Emergency Vet

How's he feeling today? Better, I hope - please give him a love from me, the bad lad :) Fat lad, is back to being the ruler of the universe. Spends most of his time in the garden serial killing, sleeping in our neighbours beds and generally being so damn cute! We however have just paid the vet bill...

Re: Emergency Vet

5 years ago I had much the same experience with Tilly (except that Tilly was much better behaved) limping with a poorly back leg. Emergency vet thought it probably was a bite as that was the most common cause but it turned out to be a broken tarsal bone in her leg. (Emergency vet did say that that ...

Re: Emergency Vet

Thank you all. Oscar looked and sounded better by 1am, his leg and chest are still swollen though. I am just waiting for our vets to open to get him an appointment for today. I think he has a wound on his chest (maybe a bite / injury of some sort) but in fairness the vet could not get near to him......

Best laid plans and all that! My night was a long overdue night in, with my old man...however it was with the emergency vet and a very very frightening and feral Oscar! Re: 3 year old peeing in house - tried everything!

Hi Wayne18, does Rosie want to go out? If so, I appreciate that it wouldn’t be right to let her out near a busy road, so it may be fairer to rehome her. My cat came from a home near me, and she was kept indoors because they lived on the roadside, but she kept escaping and coming to us. In the end t...

Re: Cat won't eat red dry food and farting ?

Hi everyone, I am a new cat owner and we're really enjoying having Maple in our lives. She's being a bit picky over food, which I gather is normal in a new home but I had a few questions. First, she seems to refuse to eat the red dry food, but eats the rest. Has anyone experienced anything like thi...

Re: 3 year old peeing in house - tried everything!

Thank you, everyone. Unfortunately we cannot let Rosie outside - too much traffic, etc. As far as I know there aren't any cats visiting in our neighborhood. I've tried adding litter boxes and different litters. No changes. Today I bought different kind of foods to see if we can "slip" the...

I feel your pain and I've been where you are. Sorry to repeat, however: Oscar, 6 year old rescue male, indoor cat who has never seen daylight…he started to pee the week after we got him. It turns out his previous owner got rid of him for this reason and they had him since a kitchen. We had ultra sou...

Re: how long left?

yes i have thought about doing that. the last litter she had was about 10 months ago. Several cat charities offer free spaying, ask your local RSPCA. In fairness and without trying to sound rude, 1 litter is an unfortunate mistake but 2 is cruel. Mating is not done after an evening at the theatre a...

Re: New food from vet - portion advice

I may be sticking my neck out here a bit, but I do dislike it when vets insist on particular mealtimes for cats. Cats by nature are browsers and nibblers, as are humans once they abandon the old notion of breakfast, lunch, supper - and no eating between meals! Suits me, and I'm a skinny minnie. At ...

Re: New food from vet - portion advice

RC calm is to reduce stress and anxiety...I’ve tried it for this reason (the cat, not me!) and frankly zylkene tablets work quicker and are less expensive. I just don’t trust vets when it comes to diets....my vet purely did it out of greed rather than practically. Wet food has less calories...2 pouc...
