What do y'all make of Kala's weird behavior when it comes to wet food?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone! I just wanted to ask what you guys make of Kala's behavior as of late, the vet doesn't think it's anything serious and neither do I but still, it wouldn't hurt to ask more people. All three are doing great, tho Kala has been weird this about a month or, s...

Re: Casper swallowed a longer string of plastic wrapping, how dangerous is this?

Phew, he just threw it back up, completely intact, undamaged just a lil wrapped I'm sorry about this topic but I had to ask, in all these years I've never had any of my cats swallow plastic. Casper did swallow a Christmas decoration once, but that was just paper, he pooped it out, he also swallowed ...

Casper swallowed a longer string of plastic wrapping, how dangerous is this?

My vet says to patiently wait for his next two stools and if he passes it it's all good, if not to call him and he should be able to sort it out easily and not to worry. I'm worried tho because I know plastic is toxic to cats but my vet says he is in no immediate danger. Casper didn't seem to care, ...

Good news is the kitten is doing great, but it's way skinnier than the other cats that other gray one is also doing well but it got away from the shot viber_image_2019-07-22_20-18-323.jpg viber_image_2019-07-22_20-18-33.jpg There's a ton of kittens in our neighborhood like this, they generally grow ...

Re: Would taking this kitten in pose a risk to my cats?

The problem is that I have no way of isolating it. But this morning I couldn't find the kitten, however now the other kittens are starting to get the same eye infection. We always have litters of stray kittens in our neighborhood but I've never seen them with infections before. This poor kitten was ...

Would taking this kitten in pose a risk to my cats?

There's a very tiny kitten in my neighborhood with a severe eye infection, one of its eyes is white/blind the other is ok but both are very crusty and it can barely open them. I was considering taking the kitten to the vet but I don't know if it's already been treated by someone or not as people in ...

Re: so...Milla kinda mated but her heat cycle is still going

I figured I'd check the forum, see what's up.....and I thought lol there's another cat named Milla, neat, then realized it's a topic I made from 2015 wow Casper was neutered at about a year old and his head IS indeed pretty big, dunno if it would've been smaller if he was fixed earlier in life or no...

Re: Casper pooped outside his litterbox twice in a week

I think Casper wants one litter box for pooping and one for peeing now, why I don't know but he was actually about to poop in that spot again after peeing in the big litter box, I slowly approached him to pick him up but he changed his mind anyways and bolted to the one that's in the bathroom now wh...

Re: Casper pooped outside his litterbox twice in a week

The day I made this topic I swapped the litter boxes, put the one he wouldn't poop in into the bathroom and brought the bathroom one in the small ones place and so far so good, but considering it took him a week to poop outside the second time you never know. He was definitely either spooked or sinc...

Casper pooped outside his litterbox twice in a week

Hey guys it's been a while, all 3 Milla, Kala and Casper are doing wonderfully or at least they were until whatever possessed Casper to do this happened. Within a week Casper pooped twice outside his litterbox and I don't mean his poop fell out by accident, he pooped in front of the front door which...

Re: Mila threw up a blob of black blood, I'm terrified

Thanks everyone
Milla didn't take any antibiotics then tho, she started this morning but her throat, chest and stuff was probably irritated regardless.
I hope all is well, she seems perfectly fine.
Vet didn't charge anything, vets here often don't for check ups which is great.

Re: Mila threw up a blob of black blood, I'm terrified

So far it's looking good, my vet looked at her stomach, intestints, chest, throat and everything and determined it was an cold she's had for a month or so and from what he told me basically since cats don't spit out mucus and stuff they swallow it then throw it up or it comes out the other way. In t...

Re: Mila threw up a blob of black blood, I'm terrified

Hey No nothing, the blob was just there, nothing around it and other than a wet spot it left nothing after I picked it up, but it sort of dissolved in the TP I was holding it and it definitely looked like very dark red blood. Milla seems fine tho, she begs for food, drank water. She never eats anyth...

Thanks, Tony
I've had cats my whole life never seen anything like this.
To make things worse now she went to the spot where she raised/kept her kittens couple years back and she rarely sleeps there so that's something too.

Hey everyone, sorry to be coming on such a bad note lol didn't know where else to post to get some more opinions. You all make excellent points, tho if I had more room I'm sure I would've given a 4th cat a shot. I do hope that Thea cat i posted in the OP finds a good home, I know I would have provided the perfect home for her if we had one more spare room. Today I was playing this one game on my Super Nintendo ...

Re: Sometimes I think I'm going to start collecting cats like I collect video games :)

So happy you get me on this! I'm addicted to all types of cats and all colors, this one just happened to be the latest one to pop up and she just looks so much like a mix of Milla and Anastasia(RIP) and Kala :) I feel like she'd fit right in if mine accept her. I mean last year they accepted that on...

Sometimes I think I'm going to start collecting cats like I collect video games :)

If we had room for more litterboxes I'm sure I'd end up with a lot more than just my three cats, in fact we would have had five cats because we would've kept Marco and Medo. I often see cats being offered for adoption on craiglist like sites here and know I could give them an amazing home but at the...

Kala is doing great, a little too good tbh as she keeps jumping on tables and stuff and then jumping off which I don't like tho she IS careful.

Milla still keeps tending to her every chance she gets, took this pic earlier

Re: Finally had Kala spayed yesterday, we'll see how she recovers now

That was a great read! Well, Kala just had her first dry food and she ate quite a bit actually, I think we've made huge progress and she is more or less out of the woods now. I'm happy my vet timed everything so perfectly so she gets spayed when her chronic respiratory infection thing isn't active a...

Re: Finally had Kala spayed yesterday, we'll see how she recovers now

Thanks! She won't eat or drink on her own but has no issues accepting water, chicken soup and wet food from a syringe. You know she's always been problematic when it comes to anything food and drink so this works for now. I'm happy that she is grooming herself, that to me is a sign that she is doing...

Finally had Kala spayed yesterday, we'll see how she recovers now

The surgery went perfectly fine from what the vet said and she was awake and altert but extremely confused yesterday, usually they get back to normal within a day but 24 hours later and I can't say Kala is doing too good but she isn't doing terribly either. She didn't eat anything yesterday, she is ...

Yeah, that's why I wanted Milla fixed BEFORE she matured sexually but my vet as do many other vets here refuses to fix cats before they're sexually mature. We wouldn't have had the kittens tho lol Kala on the other hand simply wasn't ready to be fixed that early but there was an opening for a potent...

Re: Jesus, Casper has been mounting Kala all this time, he is fixed tho

Thanks. Well Kala's heats are very weak and her calling barely differs from regular mewing in terns of loudness since she has a very quiet and weak, kinda chirpy mew anyways. In fact people have mistaken her for a bird in outside when she is in her carrier :) With Casper's help her heats are barely ...

Jesus, Casper has been mounting Kala all this time, he is fixed tho

As you guys know, Kala was in no condition to be spayed, but since her chronic respiratory infection issues are being sorted out slowly, we are preparing her for what is probably going to be a fairly risky surgery for her. The vet is hoping to have her ready by March if she gains enough weight. She ...

Kala is very finnicky when it comes to food, always has been

Ever since she was a baby she's been exceptionally picky and finicky about food. She was the first to open her eyes, to respond to her name and was generally the most active and quick to reach new milestones of the 4 kittens but when it came to getting weened off of her mom's milk and starting dry f...
