That is so awesome! Re: Picky eater cats can be a danger to themselves
Good new is, we got box of Purina Friskies which she used to eat at one point until she got bored of it and she loved it, for now. Purina is good, but it gives the persians soft stool if they eat it for too long, at least it did last time we had that. Got a bag of Whiskas as well, even tho it's not ...

Re: Picky eater cats can be a danger to themselves
EXACTLY! Thanks for understanding so many people don't understand this no ordering cat food online from abroad would be too expensive and it would take forever for it to arrive, if the sellers are even going to ship it. Plus if the current shipments for the country are held up, mine might end up bei...

Picky eater cats can be a danger to themselves
https://i.imgur.com/Orn2OwY.jpg Ever since Kala was a baby she hasn't been able to eat new foods without serious getting used to on my part, she simply doesn't "detect" food she hasn't tried as food at all, sniffs it and walks away. She has to first taste it and even then it's a gamble if...

Re: What is it with renal food?
I find this to be the case with wet food, period. They go through periods of liking and then disliking certain wet foods or outright completely cutting them off. I've had Kala beg for wet food for an hour or two straight, despite having eaten well just to give it to her and she refuses to eat it, sa...

Re: Help sos
Some cats like dry food more, some a mix of both, some swear by wet food. Molly and Kay's posts are spot on, so please don't worry too much about it. Sometimes a cat changes their preference. Cut down on the treats and just give her dry food. She which type of dry food she likes, even if it's not th...

Coordinating 4 cats for a New Years/Christmas photo..... :)

They weren't fixed when they were together, did you neuter the male before moving in with your friend? If not that's one of the main reasons for his aggression, it's very dangerous keeping a fully intact male who has no access to females and on top of everything is under immense stress from moving, ...

And Spaska is back to Spaska-normal today a tad too soon if you ask me, climbing wardrobes that even I need to climb on something to get her down from and what not, normally she'd just jump off of there on the foor but we can't risk it now The next 5-7 days are going to be rough no way this cat can ...

My persians are Doll Face persians apparently and the other ones they call piggy face here dunno if that's what they're called everywhere else in the world but that's how it is in Macedonia. I love both types, but I'd rather stick to Doll Faced ones due to the other ones potential health issues, not...

This article describes Spaska word to word https://www.sparklecat.com/special/how-to-tell-if-a-tortie-loves-you She not only bites humans but the cats too, she LOVES to bite casper's legs and feet which often annoys him but what can he do, he kinda took her under his wing since day one. Funny lil ar...

Ok so it was time to call upon the www experts and I found this article that exactly supports my personal view, so naturally I think this is the definitive guide to the difference between calico and tortoiseshell https://tortoiseshellcats.co.uk/difference-tortoiseshell-cat-calico/ However, if you g...

yeah all three are dilute, no doubt there I guess it makes sense, calico are the ones with bigger, more defined patches it's also how I generally classify them but I' not sure about Mila and Kala because they have both patches and random patterns I guess if they had more white maybe As for Spaska sh...

Mila had tortitude right until she had her kittens, not sure if she counts as a tortie or diluted calico but she was so hyper for a persian, nothing like Spaska tho, we haven't seen anything like this. I doubt she is ever going to settle down tbh Kala on the other hand has been very calm all her lif...

So far it's normal-normal :) if it starts being Spaska Normal I dunno what we're going to do lol She lets me pet her tummy no problem when she feels like it, but in general she is a biter even tho I've taught her not to bite, she is much better about it now, so if she doesn't feel like being touched...

Spaska got spayed today at 6.5 months, hope it goes well
I've had 3 female cats spayed prior to Spaska, we almost lost Mila to a bacterial infection but the other two, Anastasia and Kala had zero issues. With Spaska now it's like I've never ever done this before, it's completely different. She went into surgery at 11AM, it was a painless quick surgery and...

I read this and it really upset me because my friend Danny just told me about something similar. Danny takes care of, raises and feeds stray cats and kittens for years now, one day at his makeshift shelter they found a beautiful white persian. Of course him and his friends thought of me first but Da...

Just a quick update if it's not a problem. Mila shows no signs of being unwell inspite of her bloodwork being off. My aunt who is a human doctor says low platelet counts can also be a lab error due to automatic counting of the platelets and after she examined Mila's bloodwork and previous bloodwork ...

What we know so far: - Mila has low white blood cells, well below what they should be. Her thrombocytes were also very low, but due to stress my mom couldn't remember what the vet said over the phone about them now. - She started taking IMMUNOXANTIN on August 6th for this, showed great progress but ...

My grandpa on my dad's side would take insulin twice a day, he'd just go to the clinic for his shots each day, it was like 5 minutes away form their house. I don't think we could plan meals and stuff, but I don't think I'd have a problem taking Mila to the vets once or twice a day for her shots, it ...

OK let me re-word this post now that I calmed down a bit The vet's results are in and it's not very good Her white blood cell count is extremely low again, her blood sugar levels elevated, theyr'e at 11 the other numbers we forgot due to stress. Her heart is excellent Lungs show sigs of previous ill...

Back from the vets So far, things are looking good, we're now waiting on her bloodwork later today. For the moment her heart is excellent and so are her lungs tho they do show signs of calcification/damage from prior issues and the heatstroke. They can't do MRI's and such to check her brain apparent...
