Re: FIV vet in London UK

Hello, One that I know of is Kitten to Cat in Richmond, ( http://www.kittentocat.com/ ) which is a cat-only vets. That might be a bit far out though? Or - what you could do is contact one of the FIV Friendly rehoming organisations in London, and either see if you can go to their own vets, or if they...

Re: Help required.

Hi Cattyh, I just want to first echo what Ruth B said - well done to your mum for caring for these cats all this time, and also to ensure they are all neutered / spayed. It would be better if they can stay in their familiar territory, so if neighbours could help out that would be best. As Ruth says,...

Re: 'Remember me' but having to log in again?

Hi all, Thanks for the extra feedback! It's sounding more likely that this issue is down to individual browser settings. It's always possible that when a browser updates itself (to a new version) that potentially there could be new/different/stricter settings that you aren't even aware of, so you ma...

Re: Am I a robot? / login issue

Hi Lilith, I think you just need to learn how to 'Copy and Paste'. If you do a google search for 'copy and paste' there are lots of guides, I promise you it is easy! Essentially all you are doing is typing your text onto a plain document (not the forum), then 'copying' it from your document and 'pas...

Re: Am I a robot? / login issue

Hi Lilith, I feel your frustration! We will have a look at how/when the 'robot" CAPTCHA kicks in, once we've worked out the issue of being logged out. As they are two separate things, we need to work one out before the other, so that we know what is affecting/solving what. In the meantime, when you ...

Re: 'Remember me' but having to log in again?

Hi Alice, OK - as at 10.47am this morning (Mon 31st) we have changed a setting that might possibly help, maybe you can test this for us? What I would suggest is that you log out of the forum altogether and close the window(s) (both this section and Health & Behaviour), then clear your cache /cookies...

'Remember me' but having to log in again?

We are hoping for some feedback please!!! Whilst using this board, if you have found that you have been logged out, and have to log in again, even though you had ticked the "Remember Me" box - we would really appreciate your help. This only appears to be happening to a small number of users, so we ...

Re: Am I a robot? / login issue

Hello, We are still trying to work out what might be causing some of you to be logged out, and not others. We haven't been able to replicate the issue ourselves, and so far our investigations of the server & security programmes hasn't brought anything to light. The issue of when you might get the CA...

Re: Am I a robot? / login issue

Hi Alice, Sorry you are still having problems! Where you said I still don't understand why the problem only applied to this forum and not 'Health and Behaviour' please can we ask if you had two separate windows open for the two different forums? Or did you have them on different tabs of the same win...

Re: Am I a robot? / login issue

Hi Alice, We'll be keeping tabs on this closely since the change at 5.20pm today. It's possible that whatever is/was happening may have already logged you out prior to 5.20, so if you can see what happens from now on that would be great. We don't know for sure that it is anything to do with the secu...

Re: Am I a robot? / login issue

!! UPDATE !! 17.20pm on Thursday 27 July We are testing each possibility in turn to see what is causing this 'logging out' issue. As at 17.20pm today we have bypassed one particular bit of security protection we had in place for the forum, in case that was causing the issue. YOUR HELP PLEASE??? We ...

Re: Am I a robot? / login issue

Hi Alice,

Thank you very much for the time/IP information of that 'log out' instance. I'll get onto our hosts now and see if that will flag something up, hopefully a solution!
Much appreciated!

Re: Am I a robot? / login issue

Hi Alice, (and anyone else who is being logged out) Next time you get logged out, please could you take a note of the time it happened and also your IP address, and post that on here - then we can check the logs. To find out what your IP address is, just google "What is my IP address" and it will co...

Thanks for your patience!!

Re: Cat losing weight..?

Thanks for those suggestions. I will pass on the advice to test for CKD, that's a good thought. I'll also suggest the poo sample idea, not sure if they've done that or not. It sounds unlikely there's anything spilt on the patio causing the issues, as the garden is enclosed away from any road, and th...

Cat losing weight..?

(posted on behalf of a friend who has no computer!!) Hello, I'm hoping that I might get some ideas to pass onto a friend, who's vet appears to be running out of ideas... They have a neutered male cat, who is FIV positive, estimated to be around 12 years old. He has always been quite a chunky boy, b...

Re: urgent emergency accomodation for my cat

Hi Tracey, I expect you have already thought of this, but you should be able to get them into a boarding cattery this time of year. They'd be booked up over Christmas but would have thought there would be places free at the moment. Or would a trusted friend or family member take him in for you? They...

Hi Jenni,

Are you still looking for an FIV boy? There's lovely friendly FIV chap called Boris (see photo) at Bromley & District Cat Rescue - they can rehome to Essex, details on their Cat Chat page: http://www.catchat.org/bromley

Good luck!

We're getting there! Getting the logo to link back to the main site was easy, getting the text of posts back into notifications not-so-easy so far. We'll keep looking for a way. Or at least our human slaves will. Me and Yogi will help by bringing in the mice. Tough job but someone has to do it ;) Pr...

Cat Chat article in CP Magazine

Thought some of you might be interested to read this; it's a 3-page article about Cat Chat (“A tale of two kitties”) in the summer issue of the Cats Protection magazine 'The Cat'. As the article is spread over 3 pages in the magazine, the headline is chopped in two on the online PDF, so here's me in...

Posted on behalf of Feral Cat Welfare, Leeds, who are helping to find a home for these two brothers. Tabby & Ginge - 5 years old, sadly their owner died.
